Good location near Trieste's Grand Canal. Very friendly and helpful man on reception. Plenty of cafés, shops and restaurants within a minute's walk from the hotel door. Large room with good air conditioning. Trieste is an interesting city - not overwhelmed with tourists and we liked the beach up the coast for swimming (Barcola) and the Museum of Peace/20th Century History, a bus ride away in the eastern suburbs. The castle is lovely with a gorgeous café, well needed refreshment after climbing the enormous stone steps from the city. Accommodation was fine. For Trieste - returning to Trieste from Barcola beach in the evening is very difficult using the otherwise good city buses. They don't run very frequently and are mostly totally packed out with passengers meaning we needed to walk home through a deserted industrial area at night.

Location and staff. Room pretty good too. Facilities. No outside space. Breakfast scrambled eggs. White and yokes not mixed together, with grey bits in. Not appetising to look at.

This Hotel was extremely good with friendly, helpful staff and a decent breakfast. It had everything we would expect and was in a brilliant location for eateries, the centre of town and the cruise terminal. It was slightly unusual that the reception and Hotel rooms were all on the first floor and above.

Excellent location, good air conditioning. Good choice at breakfast except for bread No choice of bread. . Breakfast served until 10 but if you arrived after 9.30 hot food was freezing,, waiter obviously wanted home at 10 so real pressure to eat in a hurry, tided things off your table while still eating. Not relaxing.
