Hotel Ocho

For a 3.5 star it is underwhelming. The bathroom room sticks and was difficult to use.The room lack good lighting and there was limited storage for clothes.

We couldn't change the channels on the TV and kept knocking out shins on the corners of the bed frame.

Good location, it’s like a 10 minutes walk from the train, close to restaurants and stores. if u had time u can walk to the stadium if u have an event there. And the room its clean and the bed comfy.

Very cool building. Loved the location and the room. Staff at front desk were very friendly. I wish the bathroom had a door. I wish I could have stayed longer and look forward to coming back! I wish the bathroom had a door

Great location, easy walking distance to downtown and Kensington market. The hotel has great charm and so nice to see a space that has character. Our room didn’t have a bathroom door as people had noted but as a couple or solo traveller it’s not a big deal, the toilet is tucked in.

Location, small, value, communication Awkward entrances and exits. With active wedding event had to exit via a secondary stairwell and door. Service desk is under a crowded stairwell.

Close to downtown airport -entrance is ridiculous! Stairs down into a weird room. No accessibility whatsoever. God forbid if you have luggage! - focus was purely on the wedding event - did not care AT ALL about the other guests - when wedding was on the other guests’ were not allowed to use the main door or elevator! We had to climb 6 flights of stairs. - although they told us there was a wedding event at the hotel, there is no way the other guests should have been shunned! - we should have at the very least been given a discount!!

The location was excellent The shower didn’t work. The walls to other rooms were paper thin so I could hear everything in the room next to me

Great unique yet practical space.

The location was fantastic! Just off Queen St. W, close to Kensington markets and a short street car ride to Union Station. The bathroom has been updated and the shower was lovely. The furnishings and carpet seem a little rundown. There was a wedding happening the night I was there and the restaurant was not open as a result. The check in desk for the hotel is awkwardly located at the far side of the restaurant, so I had to walk through the assembling wedding guests with my luggage in order to check in. I then had to access the hotel via a side door and 3 flights of stairs when coming and going that evening.

Very nice room, great design and a good bed, the value for money is spot on A bit old ( they have a physical key , the elevator is tired) but my room was nicely renovated

Staff was super friendly, easy check in. Great location, convenient. Room was quiet. Like the old building heritage look, nice big windows. The room was a little dark even with the table and floor lamps. Wi-Fi was spotty, not very strong.
