The hostel itself is exceptionally clean, especially the bathrooms, which were always spotless and well maintained. The common area is comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. I also really appreciated how quiet everyone was at night, making it easy to get a good rest. The only downside during my stay was that the room I was staying in became quite hot at night. I’m personally sensitive to heat, and it caused me to wake up a few times. Unfortunately, The Pod was fully booked for the next night, so I had to stay at another hostel nearby for a night at a similar price. After comparing the two places, I would recommend The Pod Sydney by far. Overall, I would happily stay here again. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere make The Pod Sydney one of the best hostels I’ve experienced.

Location and private room Too less facilities
-
Close to the centre The towel water pressure so bad

Good location and helpful staff. Fairly comfortable and clean. NO wifi for two days!!! Said a rat might have chewed the cord. Really? Left food / trash in a box for two days. Open food that had been cleaned out of the fridge. Room was too warm at times - no way to control the temperature in each room. Nice that we had coffee but no creamer provided. Laundry service was never offered, even though I stayed more than 3 days.

All staff was kind and grateful
-
Too many rules Arrogant staff. Very cocky
-
Clean, modern and private. W/D next to full size kitchen

Cubicle style bunks with heavy curtain and small # guests per room help with privacy. Guests were respectful and quiet and did their dishes! A good place for working people or students - not a party hostel. Staff were wonderful. Good walkable location - felt safe though I was not out at night much past 7pm. Thousands of restaurants and shops in vicinity. Nice 30 minutes walk to Opera House, Circular Quay, Botanic Garden, The Rocks, or Darling Harbor, or 5 minute walk to Sydney's excellent public transport system. The ventilation and AC need improvement. It was too warm in the room and common areas from about 6am to 10pm. Biggest issue is that when people cook the smell of greasy meat permeates the entire space - gets into bedrooms, your bunk, and never really goes away. This happened every night. It made spending time there unpleasant. Otherwise, I would stay here again. Only 3 sinks in female bathroom which can get crowded in mornings and nighttime.

Excellent value. Clean and quiet. The pods are actually wider than they look in the photos. Nice big lockers also. I was happy with everything

Central Sydney location. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet thanks to double glazing. No traffic noise. The whole hostel was very clean. The doors to the dorm rooms were quiet soft close doors so they didn't wake you up. Very nice. Nice big lockers. The clientele were quiet, polite and respectful. Security is very good with plenty of cameras to keep everyone safe. Maybe needs a little more shelf space in the kitchen for food storage.

Very clean and well organised modern facilities

It was clean and tidy. Had everything you needed and was full of good people. Great location. Easy access to get in etc. It was way over priced. $81 a night for an 8 dorm room is a bit ridiculous!!

Clean hostel at a good location. I really liked the little pods and spacious storage for my bag. When I was there I felt like everyone was baking steaks, so I found out the ventilation was not very good haha. The hostel was hot and my room smelled like steak (I was next to the kitchen).

Crowded bathroom. Coffin like Pod.

Loved the quiet ambience and the overall cleanliness of the environment. The curtains provided a lot of privacy, not always guaranteed in hostels. Sometimes other guests might not be that respectful.. not a flaw imputable to the structure of course. Just a friendly reminder to fellow travellers to leave common spaces clean :)

Great location and value. Very clean. Women’s bathroom had a wet floor all the time and you have to walk across it to get to the toilet. WiFi was mostly good but kicked me off one meeting.
