Hampton Inn St. Louis/Westport

Breakfast was good, staff was nice. Our first room had fleas, to the extent my legs were bitten up from sleeping overnight, they did accommodate and move us rooms. Which they didn’t seem surprised when I came up to the front desk saying there were fleas in my room and showing the videos of them. The second room we went to had black mold on the ceiling above the AC unit and smelled of mold terribly.

The lady at the check in counter upon arrival was wonderful. She also gave us the furthest room since we had littles with us to help neighbors block a bit of sound if needed. Our entry way light didn’t work so that made it hard with 2 moms getting ready. Additionally, after we checked in, grabbed dinner and came back, our door was open? Not sure how that happened. The floors on every level were VERY sticky.

Pleasant

Great service fr the staff, always above and beyond. Super friendly and professional. My room was extremely clean and had comfortable pillows and bed. I have nothing bad to say. Plus the pool and the breakfast helped make the stay even better

The room was nice and clean and comfy. My shower water wouldn't get hot. Idk anyone that likes a cold shower

Exceptional

A slight problem in the bath: the water in the shower did not get hot... it wasn't Freezing, but a little cooler than comfortable. The sink had a good supply of hot water. I reported the discrepancy to staff and they will address it (I only stayed one night this trip). I've stayed at this property several times in the recent past and really enjoy the friendly staff, good breakfast, swimming pool, and, generally, how well maintained and clean the property is. The location is very convenient to major highways, but quiet. Several good restaurants in the area are a nice plus (no need to get on the interstate to find a good place to eat).

Overall a great stay. My only complaint is cleanliness. We found hairs in the shower and the table next to the bed was sticky and dirty. Very friendly staff though and good breakfast

The staff was friendly I never got keys to my room. They were having issues with the system and had to copy my card and driver's license. They were also having issues with the key maker so someone had to walk me to my room. The first room they told us to go to was occupied when we got there. Then we went back downstairs to get another room. Long story short.. I never got my key to my room

Really a low end Hampton Inn. Was definitely surprised of the aging property. Room was clean and comfortable though.

The location was convenient to be with my family. The first night my room smelled like cat urine. They were booked so I was not able to move. Couldn’t sleep well because of the smell. The hotel couldn’t refund me for the room because I did it via Booking.com. I spent money on a room that I didn’t enjoy.

Exceptional

The woman who handled the breakfast was amazing- hard working and very pleasant Cleanliness was not there. Elevators were really dirty . Pool was disappointing- not that clean and water cold and atmosphere around pool was depressing.

It was a nice hotel.

The front desk staff was surprisingly friendly and helpful - so nice to see every now and then!
