It’s close to beach and town Everywhere is dirty and some parts smell mouldy. Carpets in main area are stained, chairs have stained and food crumbs stuck in crevices, and tables are sticky and dirty. It was summer so they provided a fan which is dusty and dirty so basically you are blowing dirt to yourself. Room felt like a sauna and they don’t have extra fans although the one given hardly works. Walls, furniture and floor of the room are all marked and dusty. I stayed in 7 similar priced hotels and Airbnb during my trip around Cornwall, this is the worse. BELIEVE the low ratings. I risked it and paid the price!

The location is great and is best access to the bay area The rooms are too hot. They only provide 1 small fan which is not enough for a very hot summer weather. The breakfast was prepared late. It should be prepared before 08:00 opening. The crowd were waiting in line for the food that they are still preparing.

excellent location and good value for money. hearty breakfast for a little extra some of the decor a little tired

Horrendous noise from room next door at 01.30 in the morning, banging, shouting and yelling… too scared to investigate or intervene. Also, I left a bag of postcards behind in the morning, after 3 hrs sleep… I rang ELEVEN TIMES once home. NO REPLY.!!

Great location and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent. There is parking! It needs a major refurbishment. It is quaint but needs some love. The room was rather hot and airless despite the small fan provided.

Staff were friendly The hotel was filthy and had not been renovated for decades. More importantly, it was dangerously hot, even though outside temperatures were no higher than 25C. Windows scarcely opened, terrible insulation.

It's so old and broken and could go on with all the bad things.... the room was freezing as the window was broken and there was no heating or hot water. When I asked for a blanket they had already given them all out and had no heaters. The hotel was booked out as was everything around it so had to endure the worst room I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. This hotel should be closed down due to health and safety issues

A little dated and common areas, rugs were soiled. Breakfast the tea was served in a thermal carafe container and it had a taste of coffee, because the carafe has been used for coffee in the past. Not enjoyable.

Location and staff Mouldy bathroom, black mould, smelly stairs and very dirty carpets in hallways

Good location Helpful staff Easy parking Not worth room upgrade price Small bathroom

Good location, just out of the busy area, with great views. Rooms near reception were susceptible to noise from staff and guests in reception. I was woken up well before alarm clock went off, by banging and loud voices. Breakfast tables were empty when I got there, yet reserved by people putting their pre order forms on tables(tables with views). They were still empty when I left.

The hotel needed updating. Our bedroom window and shower were broken.
