Comfort Inn South - Springfield

Breakfast was great. Loved the pool and hot tub. Beds were worn out and saggy.

Location and value mostly. For a work trip I had plenty of eating options Really close by. Walmart right across the road. It was a very clean facility for a reasonable price. Can’t say I didn’t like anything, i didn’t use the pool facilities. And I left for work before breakfast was available. So I can’t speak to those facilities. Everything else, was completely adequate for a work trip.

The thing we liked most about our stay here was that when you walk into the room it looks beautiful, smells clean, and looks like it has been recently remodeled.Wr didn't go to the pool area but it was busy and looked nice. When we arrived I was saying no way, absolutely not, this doesn't even look like a comfort anything I stay with Comfort Suites and Comfort Inn & Suites a lot this is definitely not that, this looks like a run down crack hotel I want to leave! We decided to stay mostly because we booked and paid online, I will never do that again! The outside is very dirty and the way we came in (I'm guessing it was the back) the only signage indicating this was the right place was the big highway sign and the tiny sign at the driveway, there was black all over the outside of the building and outline of old lettering, looked like it hadn't been cleaned since it was brand new. Walked inside to check in and the entryway was dirty the rug was very badly stained and covered with dirt, it was getting close to dark and not very well lit, felt kinda creepy walking in would not recommend to single women it looked horrible so far! Guy at the counter was nice but not chatty but definitely welcoming however it just seemed like everywhere I looked it was dirty like the middle of the hall floor looked decent but close the the wall edge was filthy EVERYWHERE! We get to the elevator and it's old no big deal but go inside it stinks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year fingerprint smears and dirtiness on every panel all around the edge at the bottom again looked like a quick clean in the middle of the floor definitely nothing more don't touch anything not even the buttons unless you have to! Get off the elevator same scene in the upstairs hallway, finally get to the room and it was really a nice room and smelled clean, clean towels looked new, clean bedding... However like most all hotels today the bed is hard as a rock why do we have to pay so much to sleep in such a horrible beds I have literally stopped traveling very much for that reason ONLY! And even though the room was nice same dirty against the walls everywhere just shocking lack of detail in their...

Easy access from highway. Rude desk staff. Room design horrible and awkward. Enter room right into bathroom sink area. Dingy.

Everything was clean and in good working order. The whirlpool was nice and warm. They have a very nice breakfast. Stayed 3 nights without any problems.

I booked a handicap accessible room but we did not realize we did not get one until i needed to use the restroom at 9:30pm...my wheelchair could not fit through the door and had to use the public restroom down the hall. Also my chair could not fit between the beds so transferring from my chair to the bed was difficult. the front desk clerk could clearly see i was in a wheelchair. We have stayed a few times in the past but now the grounds and hotel is showing age. the beds are comfortable...
