Comfy bed, nice outdoor settings. Breakfast was terrible, hard over cooked bacon, fried eggs like rubber, which I'm guessing is due to being left out for a long time under the lights. Carpet in rooms not very clean, outdated rooms. Spa area was small and busy due to it being used by non guests. No aircon in rooms.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful So many weddings making it a little noisy at night

The evening food was beautiful. The lakeside view was stunning. The pool is very small and children were there, splashing around. A child's pool is needed. Had we known this, we could have booked a B&B and gone to the local leisure centre. It certainly didn't feel like a Spa weekend The staff didn't seem to communicate and I felt it was 3 businesses running the hotel, Although the staff were very friendly. The first evening we nearly didn't get to go in the restaurant as they said they were fully booked, but only 2 tables entered while we ate. They were then unsure about our Half board booking, asking lots of questions which we couldn't answer. Breakfast the next morning was staffed by 1 member who was welcoming you, seating you, sorting the breakfast food and clearing the tables. He couldn't get the food out quick enough, and I had to go without 2 items on the cooked breakfast, although he was working very hard. After 30minutes more staff came. On Saturday there was a wedding, which we were not told about, so we had to eat in the bar area in the evening. Sunday morning for breakfast was a completely different experience as there were 4 staff members. We came for our 25th Wedding anniversary, so the spa feeling and evening meal in the restaurant let us down. Had this been for another occasion, then it would have been suitable.

The room was a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The bathroom could have been bigger.

All staff we encountered were pleasant and welcoming. Room was very comfortable and good to have complimentary water and soft drinks. Great to have on site gym, spa, pool, sauna and steam room. Didn't have dinner or breakfast at the hotel. Nothing for us.

Location and grounds In the rooms, there were many bugs and moths in the room, and spider webs and a pill was found in the bathroom floor. Rooms were tired. We needed a room change which was done the next day but overall disappointing for the price we paid for the two rooms we booked.

We loved the location, the walk around the pond is beautiful. Also a huge plus from the kids on the pool which the have enjoyed every evening. The breakfast is lovely, if you have young children they will enjoy the pancake machine for sure.. mine loved it and they had huge amount of pancakes every morning. The food genuinely was great. Housekeeping also was fantastic ? Our shower did not work, only bath, kids didn’t mind, I prefer shower.

The hotel was very clean and quiet, with lovely surroundings. The pond and outdoor space were beautiful and perfect for a relaxing walk. The reception staff, bar staff and all the team were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a peaceful and comfortable stay.

We stayed in an executive suite and it was lovely. So nice to have your personal balcony/ sun terrace made the stay even better than before.

    Lovely staff

It’s in probably the best location in the city, walking distance to center The spa facilities were overcrowded, the showers were out of order, no one could shower either before or after sauna or pool.

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

Beds were incredibly soft and caused both of us to have back pain. We used our own boards which we had in Our car to alleviate this

Only the one night, but we got a room upgrade free of charge and a fridge with refreshments in it + a posh coffee machine....will definitely be booking to stay again in the near future.

Staff very friendly, polite & helpful.Room AMAZING, spectacular view. Cold buffet section at breakfast bit sparse ! Everything else was good. Parking space difficult to find when returned late evening.

Booked for two nights and stayed for one Everything! The hotel looks tired and needs a full revamp. The dining table we had was sticky so not cleaned. The menus were dirty with sticky fingerprints on, felt very grubby. The dinner menu was not good, the food was not good and looked obvious that it was not freshly prepared. The room, well we were upgraded to a Privileged room, that’s a joke the curtains were filthy the bed uncomfortable the seating you couldn’t relax in, would have hated to see a normal room. At dinner we asked for a dessert menu and received a small card with ‘Build Your Own’ dessert” really! Obviously we didn’t have one. The photos on the website of the rooms and food doesn’t represent what you get!! We had booked for two Spa treatments and in the end cancelled as we saw the area prior and did not get the “Spa feeling” when we walked in to what we have been used to at other Spas. All you could smell was chlorine, made an excuse and cancelled
