Small room Relatively high price

It's location Easy to check in Good Parking No air con in the room, only a fan, the room was way to warm

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, location was great and gym was good as well. Overall, everything was fine given the hotel price point, but i found that the coffee was heavily guarded by staff if you did not purchase breakfast. It significantly lowered my perspective on the level of the property. Made it feel like a 2* roadside motel in the USA. Provide coffee at reception, whether you pay for breakfast or not. Also, the windows need to open a bit further. It felt stuffy.

I suffered a lot during my stay in the Novotel hotel because of the heat. Very hot no air conditioning

Very clean and well presented room for a peaceful nights sleep. Central location in Sheffield made it very easy for the event we were attending. Lovely helpful Staff when checking in and out. N/A

Helpful and courteous staff and facilities

Staff The tea at breakfast was horrible , not sure if it was the water, the cooked breakfast was just ok, the toast machine isn’t set right. The changing room for the pool was a little crowded and the lockers and shower door need sorting

Great city centre location. Quiet despite the location. Comfy bed, swimming pool and parking. Highly recommended

I didn't like the fire alarm going off at 5am and when questioned being told it's not our fault

Bar service

Room was quite warm so had to have window open so wasn’t the quietest and could hear nose from the corridor. Pool was a tad small.

I absolutely loved my Queen suite, it was so spacious and it felt like a little slice of luxury for one night away from home and the usual routine!! Also the bar/restaurant was great, lovely views down over the city and a chilled relaxed atmosphere throughout the evening. Even better that I could end the evening enjoying a Bushmills Black Bush! Long delay on food being served at the hotel, although good that the staff informed me of that when I went to order, so I could make a choice. Was told the wait was over 1 hour so unfortunately I had to eat in a pub around the corner instead. I had intended to stay within the hotel for the whole of my stay though.

Central location, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Toilet and bathroom had some bugs walking.

The location The lady from the reception at night time was not helpful or pleasant at all, we barely got any information about the place or anything that was ask. The housekeeping sucks, not leaving clean towels and at one time they left their cleaning supplies in the room . The bar at night takes forever to get someone to get the order for food, she didn’t even know what was the soup of the day. I will never referred anyone to this place .

Awful service specially at night , the receptionist at the front desk was not helpful at all. Housekeeping didn’t leave clean towels in the room and even left their cleaning supplies cleaning supplies in the middle of the room , Never again will be referring anyone one to stay there . the location, since is near the train station and to the city center. It was convenient for the purpose of my trip The hotel is dated, not clean, bad facilities, poor in so many ways. The staff is friendly but the rest is so bad that it makes things hard for me to give a good review

Comfortable bed, nice big bathroom The furniture is a bit worn, there are damp bubbles on the wall, the cupboard is too low for hanging dresses, and the fridge didn't seem to cool properly. I would also say that people in front of the house need to be more friendly and knowledgeable. I have travelled all over the world in various hotels/motels, and no matter what star hotel one stays in, attitude (especially toward those who are visiting) is everything - a smile, a warm welcome, and more. This is my first time staying at the Sheffield Novotel. I have stayed at the Sheffield Mercure and Leopold in the past, and they offer much better front-of-house service. All these things are easily sorted and make a big difference in whether the guest returns to the hotel in the future.
