The room was cool you can tell it has been around for a long time it had character. There was a beautiful bar on the property but not open it too had a lot of character. The staff inside were friendly and helpful . It is in the older part of Schenectady like going back in time. We walked to an outside Italian restaurant which was nice.

I loved the old historic building and the staff were all so friendly . When we checked in we were escorted to our room and that was a first for me and a nice touch. Really enjoyed the bagel shop inside the inn. Enjoyed being able to walk around Schenectady and being close to where my son is going to school as we were moving him in to school. I only stayed 1 night and it served its purpose. When I went to shower that night unfortunately the shower had hair inside the tub/shower in many places — and it wasn’t my hair . That was gross. Actually the next morning we ran into someone mopping who told us she was the only housecleaner for the whole hotel- she was so proud of her work and she was very sweet and I couldn’t bring myself to complain to her lol unfortunately I do think she has to many rooms to do herself to really take her time and clean them. Side note the towels were so fluffy and nice after that shower I had !

The Stockade is a charming hotel with spacious comfortable rooms and a great location in historic Schenectady. The staff was very helpful and there was a delightful coffee and pastry shop in the building.

Very nice inn! The staff was friendly and help.

The Stockade Inn is in a beautiful, neighborhood a short walk from many stores and restaurants. The Inn is being updated and our room was very comfortable. We had a problem with the hot water one night due to a boiler failure but the owner was vaery appologitic and picked up our breakfast tab in the first floor cafe! We definitely recommend this Inn!

Clean. And well appointed. Great size rooms. Shower was ok

Towels were like from those in dollar shop or worse. They were completely soaked not even before drying my hair. also they were stains on the towel. Mini fridge in the room was making excessive noise. I had to turn it off instead of using it.

I like the manager or owner, I don’t know his relationship to the inn, but he is an Angel.. Zacharia is his beautiful name Nothing

Extraordinary restoration to the hotel. Staff extremely helpful.

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The iced coffee from the coffee shop was some of the best I've ever had. Overall a very good experience. We didn't have any complaints about the stay.

To start, as you enter the Inn you are hit by a very pungent, musty smell throughout the building. The mattress was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. The room had a portable air conditioner which was vented out the window which had gaps to allow bugs, spiders and rain in and was extremely loud. When it cycles up it sounds like a truck and kept us awake the two nights that we stayed in the room. The shower enclosure is in the corner and the way it is set up the shower head water hits the door and therefore floods the bathroom when getting in and out of the shower. Not to mention, it took 15 minutes to get hot water to the shower. Just so others are aware, it is a practically unmanned inn and whenever you need something or want to check in beyond 6:00 p.m. you need to text the staff. The room itself looked like it had been painted recently but the furniture and all of the details of the bathroom, the lack of towels (good ones as well) and the damp musty smell was overwhelming. When you walk in the front entrance there is a cute lobby area with a piano and a bar which was completely emptyand unmanned the entire stay. It would have been a nice addition to the stay. I do have to stay that the staff member we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and made several recommendations for dinner. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

Wonderful little in and a great location. Not really desk staffed and no onsite bar or restaurant. Free yoga classes included at the onsite studio!
-
Beautiful stay, very attentive staff, we loved the big spacious room, L’Occitane amenities in the bathroom are awesome, coffee shop in same building another big plus … highly recommended

This historic landmark inn is huge. The rooms have high ceilings and antique features with comfortable beds and amenities. If modern is what you need, then this is not your place. It is historic and beautiful and awesome staff. There is so much to marvel over in this Inn. There is a lovely café on site in the rear lobby that has delicious coffees and bagels.

Hospitality at its best!!! The room was spacious, slept like I was on a cloud! The location is perfect to enjoy all the town has to offer. Thank you Zahkar for making us welcomed & always greeting us with a warm infectious smile. Even taking the time to wish my son luck at his tournament was unexpected but kind, thoughtful & appreciated.

Greeted warmly and assisted to our room. Just as pictured, perfect for an overnight on the road. Walked to the river and dinner - loved the vibe of the historic neighborhood. Super friendly coffee shop for Java to start our drive the next morning!

A very quaint location in the historic area of town and close to the river. It appears to be working on some renovations. It could have been a little cleaner, lots of dust on the bathroom exhaust cover and would be nice to have a little more decor on the walls, it felt a little empty and echoed quite abit with TV on low volume. Overall it was a good stay not too far from SPAC and price was very affordable compared to Saratoga. Staff was super kind!
