We chose Smile Hotel Sapporo for its strong value while touring Susukino district. We prioritized price, location, and overall value—Smile scored decently across all. That said, the location felt a bit too far from the main action for my preference, despite being reasonably close. I was charged 8,300JPY for requesting late check out of 2pm even though their rules is 1000 joy per hour for late check out 6. No designated smoking area in the hotel

Room extension is only till 12pm even if willing to pay for their charge of 1000jpy/hour since flight is night. If exceed to 12pm check out you need to pay whole night room charge. 6. No designated smoking area in the hotel 7. Room cleaning, they do not throw trash that is inside the trashcan, just fix the bed and not clean.

The parking was full and there isn’t a legit baggage disembarking space - first they asked us to move the car to the disabled parking, and after a minute a car arrived requesting this parking space. They sent us to a way-too-far parking garage

Amenities can be improved. Did not mention the carpark height requirement and I have to park at another carpark which was a 7 minutes walk to the hotel. Would be good to indicate what is the maximum car height in the profile.

The fact that is was near shopping area and across it was a Lawson 24hour shoppe! Rooms too small .

the hotel was definitely a typical 2 star experience and delivered everything you really need for a short term stay. very average and didn't really dazzle. there's two hotels with the same name and we went to the wrong one. this one is farther away from the core but the walk was nice. windows don't open and the room was a little claustrophobic cause of the ac. had all the basics and did the job.

The room is very clean, comfy bed and is well maintained. With all the necessary facilities like hairdryer, mini fridge, TV and wifi. Bathroom/toilet well is designed. Located in a more quiet place but is a bit far from the nearest train station but shouldn't be much of challenge. Staff are accommodating. For the cons, the room space is small which is common in Japan budget hotels. I also didn't like the semi transparent glass door used in the Bathroom/toilet.

Fantastic location. Super friendly staff very clean. A wonderful place to stay The parking can only accommodate vehicles up to 1.5 m high. We had to park about 8 min walk away, not ideal in winter
