Perfect location. Very charming and intimate hotel! Lovely

Everything about my visit was nothing short of amazing. The staff tended to our every need which made us feel at home. Staying resilient was the name of the game for the staff. The short time me and my wife were together at this establishment turned into a vacation worth coming back to.

This hotel could be great if it were properly staffed with a high end hospitality background and about 10-20 more staff overall (servers, valet, bellmen, front desk, maintenance, pool, etc). The food is good, especially the fish tacos and Lobster roll, but the amount of time it took the kitchen to prepare meals at both the Sandpiper and for in-room dining was astonishing. My kids were falling asleep by the time room service would arrive at our room and with incorrect orders. The beds/pillows/bedding are nice but the layout of the staircases to/from each floor is utterly bizarre and because we had an Ocean cows room, the cars, sirens, and honking on Ocean Ave did not make for an ideal way to wake up.

This is a wonderful hotel. Great value for a luxury hotel. The room was huge and extremely comfortable located right off the pool. We traveled with our 8 year old and it felt more like a condo than a hotel room. Staff are friendly and attentive. Overall tremendous value for the level of service.

Exceptional

It’s a nice hotel but it’s definitely not worth the price of the room. The pool is super tiny and will be overtaken by children. The only restaurant onsite is priced extremely high and the service is terrible; slow, expect to sit there for 2.5 hours. I also ordered a $130 bottle of prosecco but paid around $193 for it due to charges of having it delivered to my room, (from the restaurant onsite?) Paying $63 extra for having delivered what you order from the menu in your room is absurd. I have stayed at the Four Seasons, The Ritz, etc. and none have been as desperately money hungry as Oceana. I paid about $1050 for the one night and honestly people could get a way better experience for that price anywhere else. Expect to get charged for breathing at Oceana. I wouldn’t go back there.

This hotel exceeded expectations. The room was incredibly spacious with high quality linens and bedding. They cleaned the room daily as well. I almost want to keep this place a secret because is such a great value for the quality. I would compare it to a Four Seasons when it comes to quality and level of service. We will absolutely be back. Thanks to Orbitz for helping us find it!

We had in room dining from the restaurant & the food was delicious! Service from all the staff was superb - everyone was kind & helpful. Can't beat the location overlooking the Pacific Ocean & just a short walk down to the beach or the Santa Monica Pier. I highly recommend this hotel!!

My only issue was that I did not receive the discounted rates that LXR offered because I made my reservations through Expedia. I feel Expedia should be more transparent or at least or the same discounts as the hotel does.
