Grand Hotel Santa Maria

There were a lot of things to really like about this hotel! The room was very large and had an amazing view. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the ricotta chocolate cake was one of my best bites of the trip! You could tell the staff really tried hard to make the beach clean in front of the hotel, which was appreciated. The location was perfect. We really enjoyed walking into town but also being away from the parties on the weekends. As others have mentioned this beach has a lot of seaweed and its not the most appealing. The hotel was actively trying to clear it and make sure there was enough sand, and you could tell they were the only hotel doing that! The beds/pillows were extremely uncomfortable. You had to take so many different elevators to get to the beach and they all felt a little sketchy. I appreciated the free parking but it was very far away!

Grand Hotel Santa Maria was a wonderful place to stay. Great location and beautiful property. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Free parking. Free breakfast. We loved our stay!

It was so clean and the food was delicious. Unbeatable location. It’s a great hotel, clean and decorated beautifully. It must’ve been the beginning of the season and they did not let us know that when we booked there wasn’t as much service. No beach service until Saturday.

Large comfortable room with a view. Free parking available. Given a late checkout since we arrived so late the night before Beach access was closed.

The property is stunning and location is amazing. Breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful! The room had a sewage odor.

Everything was perfect

Amazing location and service. Lunch beach cafe was amazing and beach service was great as well as beach chairs and umbrellas. Staff were great and very attentive. Dinner may not be to par with rest of the hotel services. But there are restaurants within a 10 minute walk in the town.

The property is beautiful, the rooms were very clean, and the beach was wonderful. The water was very calm great for kids! The breakfast was good with variety of choices but the food at lunch and dinner was a disaster. Food was a struggle in our stay. We tried to order different things everyday but definitely flavours are missing. We tried a burger, the bun was HUGE and the burger was raw uncooked. We also tried to order shrimps with gnocchi, they gave us two tiny shrimps. The fish was frozen, you could taste it. I hope they can do something with the food!

The location right on the beach couldn't be better! And the staff are very friendly and accomodating. It is a very relaxing place to pick for your vacation.

Very good breakfast, clean spaces, friendly staff. We were a party of 2 rooms, both with a crib in the room - They decided to charge only mine, not the other one… doesn’t make much sense.

Beautiful spa, terraces and views. Very well designed rooms and en-suites And on the sandy beach No tomatoes or yoghurt at breakfast, a lot of cakes. However this was because we stayed on last day before closing for the season.

The Grand Hotel Santa Maria was perfect for my second stay in Santa Maria di Castellabate. Located directly on the beach and within a short walk to town, it fulfilled every need. The one factor that sets it apart and above are the exceptional staff. Nothing. It was perfect.

The hotel is beautiful and maintained excellent. We’ve been coming here over a few years and we see new and improved things every year. The staffs nice beyond belief everyone is pleasant and very friendly. What I get a little tired of the same repetitive offering for breakfast.

The property is right on the beach in one of the loveliest towns we have seen. The dining facilities overlook the ocean and they serve a beautiful breakfast. Eduardo, who works in the dining and bar area was fantastic and made our visit so welcome and hospitable. He should be teaching staff about hospitality! A good bit of hallway noise distracts from quiet rooms. This could be aided by carpeted hallways or at least runners.
