Good place, clean room and quiet
-
This place was great! The room had all the amenities and the bed was so comfortable.

We have stayed here many times perfect location near outlet mall , staff very friendly and clean room always

Cons: The pool was a greenish color and had a foul lingering smell. The door to the pool (from outside the hotel) was propped open at all hours, which did not feel safe, as anyone could reach the hallway with the rooms from that entrance. $50 card deposit required for any 3rd party bookings (such as Expedia). There was also no plate in the microwave but it still worked and didn't bother me personally.

La cama estaba muy bien e igual las almohadas, el almuerzo le faltaban muchas cosas la alfombra del pasillo necesita limpieza

It was in a great location close to the outlets and restaurants. The pillows were uncomfortable and bed kind of squeaky every time I tossed and turned it squeaked but the bed itself was comfortable. The pool was cloudy.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room and facilities were very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for what we were in town for. Would stay there again

This was a very nice stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, and a solid air conditioner. The breakfast was a bit lacking.

Close to everything & the 2 young employees tried to be kind but the owner is awful Refused to give me a room until booking paid them even after a confirmation that I had paid. Then charged me 2 times for the room & made me wait a week & call 3 times for a partial refund.

Exceptional

The rooms have been updated and are clean. The staff is nice and friendly. The rest of the property is in bad need of updating. They use a strong floral scented cleaner that is overwhelming. The whole property reeks of it.

Excellent affordable hotel with updated renovations. Comfortable rooms and close to the outlet mall

The location was good. Just a few exits from Texas State university. We were moving our daughter to school there. The room itself was clean and beds comfortable. There is a small microwave and mini fridge The bathroom clean but small. It conveniently has shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers. It looked sketchy from outside. We thought it was not operating. I walked in and couldn’t find anyone in the front desk. Had to walk around the area calling out for assistance. We arrived around 4pm. The hallways are pretty run down and dark w stained carpets and walls. The property doesn’t feel very welcoming with it being so red n down. My daughter wanted to use the pool but it didn’t look clean. The property just looks run down and in dire need of updates. It does look like they’ve updated the rooms but just not the rest of the property. As others have mentioned that the room is small and bathroom design a bit awkward since the bathroom sink and mirror are on the side when you first walk in. No coffee maker in room. We will likely not stay here again.

Location was great, right across from the San Marcos Premium Outlets and just minutes from downtown to TXST (purpose of the trip was to move our daughter into the dorms and spend the weekend). I cannot comment on breakfast as we prefer a hot breakfast and chose to eat elsewhere. The beds were comfortable and the climate control in the room worked great. The pillows are super soft though, so ask for extra if you prefer firmer pillows. I had to stack three just for it to feel like one normal pillow. The bathroom was super small, so small that the sink and mirror are part of the main room and not in the bathroom, the pictures do not adequately portray this. Probably the worst bathroom layout I've ever seen, and I do travel frequently. The front desk also seemed to make it a strong point that no smoking was allowed in the facility anywhere, but there is a strong scent of smoke in the stairwell areas (no elevators), and down the hallway of the second floor (I won't comment on the other floors as I've only got experience with the second). Our room smelled like somebody had cooked an excellent meal in there recently. Not a terrible smell, but it lingered over our three day stay even after housekeeping visits, and permeated our clothing and bags. Best way to explain it is like going to a Mexican restaurant and every table around you ordering fajitas, you know how that stuff smells great but really hangs around. I won't complain about not having a coffee maker since I saw during booking that one wasn't available, but I really would've enjoyed that first early morning cup while waiting for the rest of the family to get up. One minor aggravating point (which is really not against the hotel, just their cable provider I guess), the TV is super quiet during shows, but will pin your ears back during commercial breaks. I had to turn on CC just to catch words during shows without winning a sound contest over in the next county during ads. To sum it all up, unless I was out of options off of I-35 between downtown San Marcos and the outlets, I doubt I'd stay there again. We will be looking to book elsewhere on our next visit.

The rooms were clean- disappointed there was not a coffee pot or coffee in the room.
