Check in went smoothly; located very close (5 to 10-minute walk) to Pismo Beach State Park and 2-mile drive to the pier. Parking was easy. Staff was friendly. Clean room and nice air conditioning

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and polite. The air conditioner was awesome it worked very well. Parking was easy to get in and out of. Super close to the beach about two blocks away maybe two and a half blocks. There's the deli next door and they make good breakfast burritos or just regular burritos if you want. Our stay there was very nice

Close to the beach and very clean

It's family owned, quiet, clean and just down the street from the dunes. The family that owns it is super sweet and helpful. It's nothing fancy but during the summer months it's economically affordable. I'm sure we will be back many times. There was nothing that we didn't like. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair with a reading light. This will not keep us from coming back.

The word "fine" is often misapplied to mean bad. Fine is not a bad thing. It's also not super exciting. Fine does the job, but without pizazz, and there's a place for establishments like the Dune Surfer Inn that are fine. It's close to a road that can be a bit noisy, but that road enables a 5 minute walk to the beach. The walls were a little thin and the building old, but the price was fair and the room was clean. There aren't any amenities to note, but they let us check in at noon and the guy at the desk was nice. For our short 24 hour stay in the area where we just slept in the room, it did the job. It was fine.

I like the fact I can walk to the beach direct from the hotel and there are two small food stands on the way. It is a very basic motel. Very few amenities in the room or on the property. Staff is friendly and very quickly corrected some issues I had with noise and my door not locking. You will hear everything. You can hear the TV next door, conversations, snoring, etc. If you're ok with that, I would recommend this motel.

Check in was great and the young lady was very nice and helpful. She accommodated my request for the first floor due to my injured ankle, so that was much appreciated. Also, parking was perfect, just outside the door to the room. I didn’t notice until the next morning that there was no tv remote, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The fixtures seemed dated, but were functional. The king size bed was comfortable and the small refrigerator worked great. Was a little concerned when the bottom of my freshly washed white socks were a bit dirty from walking around on the floor. Also, no breakfast is included, but I was prepared, so no big deal. This was my second stay at this hotel and the stays were a similar experience. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s not luxury prices either.

Could walk to everything!

Close to the beach however right off of main road with lots of traffic and sirens.

The staff was alright, but the rooms were very minimal. The beds look and feel like IKEA specials. There was mold growing in the shower. There must not be any insulation in the walls, as I could clearly hear a phone call in the adjoining room and hours worth of children upstairs running and jumping in their room above mine. I suppose if all you want is a room near the beach and don't mind not sleeping, this motel would suffice.
