Avila Beach House

Everything - From checking in to any needs, the staff was terrific. I believe Katie checked us in. She was absolutely wonderful. (I am really bad remembering names so I'm sorry if I got her name wrong). She even remembered me when I came back into the lobby. This was our second visit and I again noticed how kind, helpful and spot on the staff at breakfast are. The staff taking care of the rooms are also very helpful. Love the remodel. We did have problems with the key cards getting into the pool area. I noticed others had the same issue. Other than that....alll good.

Trying to enjoy quiet Time away from home. Its an expensive place but convenient

Location at the beach, property was clean, breakfast was excellent. Property had construction everyday noise from sanders grinding concrete throughout property, was never informed construction was on going. Room not cleaned one day had to call at 4:45pm, desk stated you must have had a do not disturb sign out, we did not, we were gone all day from the property. They did respond and freshen up the room, but we had to leave delaying getting ready for dinner.

Under construction.. not disclosed when booking. Booked a pool view room to have easy access for kids. Was moved to an upstairs room with multiple stairways blocked off- elevator to first floor blocked. Not happy that the major construction was not disclosed. Not easy to access the pool, beach or common area as half of it was blocked by plywood.

The rooms are all newly renovated. Staff were super welcoming and friendly. Property is great for families because rooms are spacious, and lots of activities for kids to play with. The breakfast was delicious with rotating options of food. My daughter’s favorite was of course the waffles. Hotel is very conveniently located close to the beach, park, aquarium and restaurant/ bars.

Place was awesome. My only little complaint is the walls seem a little thin. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was a typical complimentary breakfast. Will return

Very clean rooms, awesome views of the beach. Close to restaurants, beach, and shops.

Nice location. I selected for location, allows dogs and had a pool. I took my lap swimming gear, but was just a kiddie pool (my bad). They allow dogs, but for an 15 hour stay I was charged $150 (not refundable, on top of hotel reservation, again probably my mistake.) Bathroom had long black hair in the shower, the bathroom floor had toilet paper pieces and the sink counter had water marks. I blame the hotel administration, not the individual workers, who seemed serious about their jobs.
