Motel 6 San Francisco, CA – Great Highway

Nothing!! We was turned away because we was 20 min early, mind you we was turned away thru a ring camera and was told "check in is at 3pm and look at your watch! You still have 20 minutes!" That was it case cold!! The pictures on booking .com portrait your next to the beach but its far, theres no other buildings but its still far! There is absolutely not 1 eating establishment around the area to eat at unless you eat at an unsanitary taco truck or unsanitary deli ugh theres a Safeway about a half mile down and up the road BUT NO MICROWAVE IN ROOM, our room had fake wood tile that was bubbled EVERYWHERE on the floor, the only chair they had with no table was stained, dirty, smelly, and ripped!! Im highly disappointed in motel 6 for allowing them to use the name, our king bed had a big dip right in the middle so we woke up bodies stuck together!! Its so uncomfortable, we wanted our money back after the first day but was told from booking.com we will contact you shortly (we are still waiting 1 week after we got home) we had to chase down house keeping DAILY TO GET CLEAN TOWELS, WE NEVER GOT CLEAN BEDDING OR HAD GARBAGE TAKEN OUT IN 6 DAYS!! I highly recommend you stay anywhere but here!! Most of the rooms were occupied by elderly living there! People looking in windows, 2 people knocked on door looking for crack, theres a phone in room that dont work, this motel room literally ruined our perfect weekend we expected!! Im still angry at booking.com letting people post how good this place is LMFAO probably acquainted to the owner!! Over priced and inconvenient cheap motel.

You get what you pay for. It's not the best but it's right by the water. The ac sucked. Luckily it was cold outside so it was ok.

I couldn’t stay. The place was in a great location but it gave me the creeps. I didn’t feel safe as a woman traveling alone. First room the bathroom shower seemed like it was left on and the floor was completely wet. Second room they offered the light switch didn’t turn on a light, there was a joining door that had a keyed deadbolt. No clue if the other side was the same. I was too scared to even go any further into the room to check it out further.

This is a hotel that is basically a little over $100 a night in San Francisco. The room was clean. The guy at the front desk was nice. There was parking that was pretty easy -for a motel six it met expectations -for the price I got what I expected although the exterior stairwell could’ve been a little bit cleaner and the building could use some sprucing up -if you’re looking for a low budget option in San Francisco this is reasonable. I did feel like the neighborhood was safe.

Location Bed sagged to one side very badly. Had to reconnect the curtain hook to get it to stay closed. Floor was sticky.

Location. Everything is old outdated. Mattress included. No air conditioning or coffee pot.

The hotel itself was rough. The room itself was clean, the outdoor entry ways and stair cases to the the room were very dirty. There is a parking lot for the hotel with very few spaces and parking is at a premium so you may not find a parking spot…

This place is decent! Great location, helpful staff, decent price! The room was clean-ish! Stairways could use some more cleaning and the parking situation is rough after 9-10pm, but I’d stay here again cuz its benefits outweigh the detriments!

Good value, good location, good Thai and breakfast places nearby, decent free parking, comfy bed, fridge in room, free WiFi, free AM coffee in lobby, dog friendly Thin comforter, harsh florescent lighting, no bedside lighting, exterior porch light shines brightly through curtains all night, a little noisy outside at times, TV atop dresser leaning against wall, uneven flooring, generally average for a Motel 6

Location Very dirty. A cockroach even ran across the bed.

The water in the shower wouldn’t turn off. They had us wait for a plumber who couldn’t fix it. They said we would change rooms the next day so no shower. In room phone didn’t work. Television didn’t work. Attendant was no help. I am a three turn SKAL president and I have never had a worse experience anywhere in the world. Should be closed down. And I canceled the other night but you charged me anyway. Everything

Location Room and beds were spacious

The door had 2 locking mechanisms which felt safe. When I arrived, the shower was running. I tried to turn it off but it was broken. I reported it to the front desk. The front desk said the soonest they could fix it was the next morning. I had to go buy ear plugs so I wouldn't have to listen to the strong splash all night. There was a musty smell in the room. Most of the outlets didn't work. The fridge temperature was so high, it froze my items. I got bitten by something twice, on the arm and leg. Severe itching followed. The upstairs unit blasted music until 3am.

Close to the beach.

This hotel is in a great location. Close to the Beach and Golden Gate Park. Easy to get to and has street parking. The hotel didn't have microwaves or an ice machine or any toiletries other than one bar of soap. Bring your own!

Roaches, dirty bedding, lumpy pillows; lights would not stay on, smelly towels, hole in wall with something weird peeking out, man at desk rude and then pacing back and forth outside of my room, garbage dumpster in front of hotel, unsafe parking area.
