The location is convenient -- I came to SF for a wedding at SF City Hall, which was only a few blocks away. Lots of cute cafes nearby too, and nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of, say, urban homeless/transient populations. Room was clean, given the age of the building. Front desk staff were really friendly. You really gotta look at your reservation; Some rooms have private bathrooms IN your room. Others, like the one I had at this stay, have bathrooms available for all the guests on a certain floor. But I never had to wait for my turn and the bathrooms were very clean. But maybe bring sandals/flip-flops to walk back yo your room. It's also worth noting that my room did NOT have a fridge or microwave. (Luckily, there was a 24-hour cafe nearby.) Internet was sometimes laggy, but I was still able to have a 3-hour zoom meeting at this location with minimal problems.

Was excellent for a 1 day stay, but would have booked a bigger room instead of a double. Otherwise great stay.

I would stay here again however - if you are sensitive to smoke beware. There is a constant smoke/burning smell from a business nearby.

I saw a lot of complaints about the front desk before I arrived, but they were actually really helpful during my stay. The area was amazing, and it was easy to get around since you can take public transit pretty much anywhere. The only weird thing was that the light in my room turned off by itself! it happened twice. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

During my stay at the edwardian hotel , we were led to believe that our room had a private bathroom but in reality the bathroom is in the hallway and they gave you a key to it and they say it's your own personal bathroom but I heard different people going in and out the bathroom but also had keys to it the furniture in the room look like they ordered it from temu playhouse furniture, I'll feet hung over the bed and I'm 5'6 only good experience I had to stand there was that the keys work ed . The staff did not help because don't nobody know difference between private and shared Thank you ,I wouldn't recommend staying there unless you a midget

We stayed in room 36 and it was a cute room we were excited for the cute purple wall and it had a decent view but there were brown stains on the towels and the bedding and also the side of the mattress itself… the staff was very friendly but definitely could use deeper cleaning. Was a cute small room for couples though and the shower was nice but small :)

Third time staying here. Very comfortable and easy for a solo traveler or low maintenance couple.

Comfortable bed. Towels were clean but old and thin.

Perfect hotel. Felt like Paris.

Room, albeit small, was extremely nice and clean. Bathroom was exceptional given the location, size of the room, and the commonality of communal bathrooms in SF hotels made this an extremely pleasant stay. Room was not entirely wheelchair accessible due to the small size. Wheelchair would not fit more than 10 feet into the room as the bed blocked its path.

Location is close to underground rail and tram stops, though perhaps not great to walk after dark. The room was sparsely furnished but clean. Bed was comfortable, though very high (on a deep base?), making it a challenge for a shorter person to get into. Would have liked at least a chair in the room, though it would have been tough to fit one in. Probably not ideal for longer stays, or if you need to work from your room at any point.

The location was excellent, housekeeper fantastic making the beds every morning, very safe locking systems on main door and rooms. A little inconvenient as regards to my bathroom and shower and to get up during the night to visit when my bathroom wasn't in my room
