Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina

A vintage funky beach hotel with lots of room for our extended family to relax together!

This is the third or fourth time we have stayed here and we have always loved our stay. Rooms were clean and property is well maintained

Rude front desk staff needs to be fired this place sucks !

I only stayed for one night and did not use any of the amenities.

My room was very clean and fully ready for my stay. Plenty of space, I didn’t need the extra bathroom, but with a family staying, it would have been helpful. I loved the balcony and used it often. Pool was nice and warm. My room was close to the pool, so a little loud during the day and till about 11pm. Food was good at the restaurant

Great location - just kind of average. I was upgraded at check in but my room felt like it was not really well maintained. There was a Hair on one of the towels - the balcony door was unlocked, closet doors open, it just felt like it was a rushed job with not a lot of attention to details.

Love to stay here after coming off our multi day fishing trips. Staff always does there best to get us in early if we need too. We also get to use the pool and jacuzzi ect while we wait for our room. Rooms and amenities are always clean.

Beautiful view of the marina. GREAT burger at the restaurant. Monday Special was awesome !

Great place to stay for a family, great place to stay for a work trip, great place to stay with a couples trip to get away for a couple days. Staff is amazing, security and parking is great, restaurant is fresh and delicious, pools and hot tubs are great for kids and adults after dark. Nice views everywhere, nice walking path too, great local spots within walking distance or a short drive and most places nearby have ample parking too.

It was a beautiful location. Views were amazing. I loved the bike rental on site. The pool and restaurant were lovely. The only negative was the room cleanliness. There were dirty sheets and blankets bundled up and thrown on the closet floor without a set of clean ones for the sofa bed. The fabric bar stools were quite dirty with stains and crumbs. They only needed to be wiped down and vacuumed. When they cleaned our room instead of taking our trash to the dumpster they left it on the bottom of the stairs and the seagulls attacked it and left trash scattered in front of our stairs. Other than the poor housekeeping it was lovely.

Great location

The facilities were great and scenic venue. Walking distance to very nice restaurants and pubs. Be aware that they charge $25 for overnight parking, and parking spaces are limited and not assigned. Very inconvenient.

My wife and I’ve stayed at this properties several times. It is a class act… Hands-down. I say this because I want them to do better as a business, but I say Italian cheek because I don’t want anybody else to find out about it. That’s how good it is.

Room was clean, plenty of towels, had to request a new blow dryer and a coffee maker

Only negative was the 5% unauthorized charge when we ate.

On the positive side: Great location and views if you are on the harbor side. We got a room right on the loading driveway and the room was terrible. They should rent those rooms with a large discount and tell customers why the big discount. We requested and got an upgrade to a newer building, second floor. My brother's check in process had issues (we booked on Hotels.com) and his room did not have hot water. The air conditioners are old and loud. We hosted a banquet and room was good, but air cut out after awhile. Service in the dining room was terrible. Food is decent though. Pool was nice and they provided pool toys which was a plus. However pool towels nowhere to be found. You have to ask at the front desk. We had over 50 people staying for a family reunion. Overall, the family enjoyed the stay, even with a few issues. We would stay again, but be prepared to spend $$ for a better room.
