AC Hotel by Marriott San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter

We were really looking for something that was truly water front. We had expectations based on the photos, that weren’t met. Rooms were spacious and clean! Their signature scent is to die… and the boys enjoyed the pool! Overall had a good time!

As advertised.

It was too nosey and giving ear plugs to block the noise is ridiculous. At least get sound proof windows. Awful experience to not be able to sleep. A car was parked in front of the hotel playing loud music for an hour and NO ONE did anything about it. Will I stay with you again? No

We had a very nice, quiet suite room. Staff was very friendly and helpful from check-in to bar/food servers. We’ll be back.

The hotel staff was sparse to say the least. The valet of $70 dollars per night was robbery when the Hotel site claimed they had parking. Worst was the room on the street side, I should have taken the hint when earplugs were on the nightstand however, because we were there before the weekend I thought it wouldn't be a problem. Wrong, the street noise was terrible and it lasted well past 1am. I have stayed at other AC properties and had a decent experience, I think this is my last visit to this brand.

We had a great time !! Wish we took more advantage of the rooftop pool & bar, it was amazing/ beautiful when we checked it out. Went out and got back super late the security made sure we got in safely ! Very well kept hotel thank you!

I reserved and paid for a night and the canceled on me the day of. Never should have happened.

We had a fantastic stay at the AC Hotel San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter! The location is absolutely perfect. We loved being able to walk to so many restaurants, shops, and all the entertainment and nightlife that the Gaslamp District has to offer. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop bar. It was a great place to relax in the evening, enjoy the atmosphere, and take in the views of downtown San Diego. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s right in the middle of everything while still offering a comfortable place to unwind, this is it. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Diego!

The property was close to EVERYTHING! No rental car was needed and we used Uber a few times. The staff was very friendly and always offered a warm welcomed. I loved the open patio concept at the front of the hotel. Some reviews said the property was noisy but it didn’t get “noisy” until Friday night which is expected for being in a prime location in Gaslamp. The rooms were small but still comfortable. My only complaint is the food menu for the rooftop and bar should be reevaluated as the options are not desirable.

The rooftop is a great amenity. The pool was not up to par. The pool deck is not safe. The tiles are dangerously slippery.

Bartenders were great but definitely shorthanded on rooftop. In was very busy and only 1 bartender to do everything.
