Hostel El Nagual

Guy at reception said like 10 words to me and i never saw him again, and i wanted to ask some questions. The room had a weird smell, like unventilated closed room

Wi-Fi is excellent. I was able to work from my room and have all of my video meetings without any problems. There’s a desk to work from in the room, a mirror, shelves to put your things and hooks to dry your towels and hang your jackets and hats. It’s in a good location and affordable. And there’s drinking water available. All of these things made my stay more comfortable as I was suffering from salmonella and still able to work from the comfort of my bed. Things I didn’t like - I stayed in room number 9 for a week and the door doesn’t lock. Also, I have 8am video meetings every morning and I always like to drink 2 cups of coffee before my meetings. However, they don’t like for you to use the kitchen before 8am. After I explained it’s just coffee and not cooking or making loud noises, they said I could make my coffee. As far as I know, there’s only one shower with hot water. And I also don’t like the way they just fill up the soap bottle with water everyday. Just buy some new dish soap. And new sponges to wash the dishes.

The people here really make the place. Seriously incredible staff and attracts a great crowd of travelers. On top of that, the facilities have everything you could need with a wonderful terrace.

Terrace, location, friendly staff! when i was there it was a lot of families with small children, crying the whole day and playing everywhere, like 5-6 children starting at 7 in the morning, so i checked out after 2 nights, they tokd me its no rule no families with chikdren, i hope its true cause the noise pollution was higher than in super partyhostals with clubterrqce i stayed! also rediculous that the price at the property was 50pesos more paying in the reception than if u book it with booking.com! Also too little blankets!

the atmosphere/people is nice and chill, i needed it. I liked the free water, added cover and the rooftop. very good (8) place indeed.

Everyone- both guests and staff- was so nice and laid back, helpful and friendly. After few time it already felt Like Home. It was hard to leave this magical place.

Saggy bedframe. It killed my back. Please add a board under the mattress. And the red linen was stained. It's important to clean it properly.

I liked the location, the staff and the spacious feeling of the hostel. It was clean and relaxed. The terrace was great. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillow felt like a dollar quality one. There is some improvements recommended in terms of comfort.

Conditions are a bit crude. At check-in I was given a room with the worst pillows I have ever seen. Sleeping on them gave me an unbelievably bad neck ache. The door to my room couldn't be locked from the inside and opening and closing the door caused a loud noise.
