The hotel was good in comparison with other hotels in San Andres, but not the most "value for your money", overall all hotels in the island are quite expensive and this one as well. For the same amount of money in different places in Colombia you would expect a quality hotel with extensive grounds, views, etc. I think the whole San Andres is overpriced and not as much worth it for the attractions, food, hotels, and experience you may have elsewhere. The staff at the hotel are very nice, and accommodating, there are a lot of cats and dogs (being treated) roaming the yard, which is a nice thing, the food was below expectations, pool was fine to swim, rooms are "clean" but showers are not, limited amount of towels and the WIFI is absolutely terrible, location was not that great either 20-30 minutes walk to get to the commercial center (where restaurants, beaches, and walkway..). Having stayed at other places in Colombia Medellin, Guatape, Cartagena and Bogota, I was expecting I will get more for the same amount of money but that was not the case here... I would rate this hotel as a 2 stars at best for a Standard Hotel Rating so be aware that ratings in San Andres are low and your expectations need to adjust to this local standard.

Nothing It was not clean and the breakfast was not good

The location near the airport and main beach with a nearby supermarket. The facilities with a colonial style architecture and a swimming pool were so inspiring. The welcoming staff giving advice at all times. The breakfast was beggarly and non-statisfying. No bed lamps (luz nocheros). Just one small thrash bin. Sometimes the staff was not so kind.

Arrival was horrible. Two dogs fighting in the lobby and clerk was laughing. She was rude and not attentive. Stayed on a personal call during the whole check in process The room was a lot smaller than indicated in the pictures. Not even a chair to sit on.

The staff, breakfast, atmosphere, the room, the pool. Everything was great! Everything was great.

The hotel was very drab in comparison to the photos. Our room reeked of mold and upon checking the AC unit, we found black mold. The front desk offered to switch our rooms which was great of them but what we really wanted was to cancel our reservation. We were told there was no way to do so. Thus, we left and stayed somewhere else. Our booking was for one week so we came back on the last day so we would be closer to the airport. When we came back, our room was gone and taken by someone else even though we had paid for it. They were able to get us into another room but were obviously surprised by us wanting one at all. The new room also smelled pretty moldy but the AC unit was a lot newer. Overall, the staff were as understanding as they could be but refused to give a refund or help us cancel. Since we booked through booking.com, I get that they have less to work with but it would have been really nice. I am happy to delete this review if they're able to refund us for the days we did not stay. If you're not an animals person, I would suggest booking elsewhere as well. Personally, we didn't love the location as there was only one restaurant in walking distance and then the nearby beach is the busy, downtown beach. Instead, if you prefer somewhere quieter, we loved Hotel Sunset and would also suggest staying by San Luis beach.

The hotel needs updating overall, but the cleaning was adequate for the older wear and tear. There is a sign in the bathroom to clean your hands but no hand soap is provided in your room. The dogs occasionally pee on the cement blocks around the pool.

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to be helpful. Front end woman was amazing. The location is very safe and quiet. Pool is gorgeous and private Room lacked amenities, soap, shampoo, water, coffee maker etc

There was a leak on my bathroom, floor was wet the whole time I was there, saw a couple of roaches, tv had no access to cable which is not a big deal but dont advertise it without having a good set of channels to see

The staff was friendly, the ac in the room was good and the pool was nice. The room was smelling bad, the floor was always sticky due to the weather. The breakfast was very limited and the same everyday.
