Location was good. The bed was so uncomfortable. You can tell the mattress is so old, the pillows were flat, and the sheets and blanket were so thin. No central AC. I was a wall unit. I shouldve maybe expected noise around the hotel but there was live music blaring until 2 am. Overall got a terrible night sleep and wouldnt book again.

This hotel is in great shape, very well kept & clean, great AC, pool is well kept & in great shape as well. The rooms walls have good sound proofing. You may hear doors closing now & then but that's about it. Traffic noise is even very low surprisingly & thankfully. So if you are like me & just want a nice, clean, safe, quiet hotel that you literally can walk out your door & be at an establishment of your choice within minutes…. Well, look no further! It hits 🎯 on everything

Location was perfect

Location and parking; great access to restaurants and stores; room appeared to have been renovated and was happy they pulled their carpet; was peaceful and quiet during the night. Trolley stopped right in front of the hotel so made our travels easier. The A/C worked great thankfully as it was in the high 90’s during the day. Bed Pillows were great; 4 per bed. Bathroom amenities were perfect. Ice machine was over by the office and the one near us was not working; The queen bed I slept in though was very uncomfortable. Felt like a board/bar running the length of the bed in the middle. And the beds are very high and for a short older person, it makes it difficult to crawl into bed. If the hotel hadn’t been so busy, I would have requested a different room the second night. Rooms were definitely smaller than depicted in the photos, but for two people it was a perfect size. We didn’t go to St. Augustine to hang in the room. Something that might bother people is my sister found a dead roach over by her bed. AND there was a small living bug on the desk chair that crawled into a hole. Unfortunately we couldn’t get it in time to discard it. Being from Florida, none of this is surprising. It might bother others though. At least the roach was dead. The office was notified on our way out.

The air conditioner made squeaky sounds every hour! Then the shower could have been a little cleaner around the edge of the of the shower doors and there could be darkening curtains!

It is an older motor-court style hotel. It was clean and the AC worked well. Check-in was smooth and fast. Problems in the room were small but significant. Our particular room was close to the office, which meant close to the road traffic. Earplugs needed to get any sleep at all. The shower was a major issue. Great water pressure, but you have to be really small to shower. The shower curtain rod in 4 inches inside the the tub and was barely held into the wall with a molly in the drywall. As a result water pour onto the curtain and then onto the floor. A curved shower rod would make a world of difference. We will not stay again purely for the noise.

Room was small but very clean. Had a fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. Seating outside looking out at the water was nice. Location was great and walkable to the areas. Would definitely recommend.

The only downside was the $25 overnight parking fee.

Though not fault of the hotel's management - street racers raced up and down Avenida Menendez from the fort to the Bridge of Lions and back from around 8 or 9pm until after midnight on the two nights (Friday and Saturday night) we stayed at the hotel. Gunning of the engines and backfiring the engines were very loud and prevented us from falling asleep before they stopped around midnight. A couple times they even purposely backfired the engine on Hypolita St right behind our room. The desk clerk said she did not know why the St Augustine police do not stop the racers. At the same time she did not mention if hotel staff ever call the police to report the disturbances caused by the cars. For a quieter evening in your room, you might consider a hotel not on this stretch of Avenida Menendez.

The location was the best asset. Room met my needs. Staff was helpful and cordial.

Hotel location was excellent, right across from the water and central to everything. We were able to choose a first floor room which was appreciated since we had luggage and there is no elevator. There was very little room at the foot of the bed between the bed and refrigerator, which made it a tight squeeze to walk.
