Everything Nothing

The breakfast staff were attentive. The room was nice and the housekeeping always did a good job. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The only thing that let the property down was the service in the bar upstairs. Both times I went up to the roof top bar and I was standing waiting. Both times a lady in a brown dress saw me arrive and stood in front of me on an iPad but didn’t acknowledge me. I waited for a few minutes for her to finish then said excuse me and she then finally looked up. The gentlemen serving drinks were nice.

The space was good as was the view onto the Side of the Pantheon. The room was tired and somewhat bare. The bathroom was old and needs to be renewed. The TV had no Smart options. There was no room-service menu in the rooms. The 30 Euro room service breakfast was way below par for the price. Was not up to advertised 5 star standards.

We love the Minerve and have stayed there three times. The location is prime for us. Our room was very nice and comfortable.I also like the lobby and walking through it. We never really had hot water in the shower--it was lukewarm at best--but at least not stone cold. That was annoying. We did not include breakfast as it is too expensive. I go without breakfast and my brother went down on the street by the Pantheon for a reasonable breakfast. That was our choice and not the fault of the hotel. The maid threw out this bag of beautiful folded shopping bags that I had by my luggage and nowhere near the trash.I went to reception and they were helpful in getting most of them back for me. I found that very annoying and invasive that my stuff was thrown out.

Location was excellent! walking distance to everything! The room was clean and nice, view was not nice. Rooftop was excellent, one of the prettiest in Rome. The views were exceptional. The staff was amazing! Wish I had a prettier view.

Not a 5 star hotel. Closer to 3 stars, 4 at best. Very dated property and bathrooms had black mold everywhere.

Everything was fantastic, but the food and rooftop bar (the view is insane) made our stay a once in a lifetime experience.
