Good location. Walking distance from Roma termini. The staff (Mirela) were exceptional and very helpful. Did not opt in for air conditioning as we would be out all day. Pedestal fan could be helpful in summer.

Only short 8 minute walk from Roma Termini. Surrounded by lots of nice local restaurants. Quite an old building not very sound insulated, other guests entering and leaving can be noisy and disturbing with banging doors. Toilet would make a loud grating noise when flushed, probably worn plumbing.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Il Papavero. First of all, we would like to sincerely thank Marianna and the other two lovely ladies at the reception, whose names we unfortunately do not know. They were extremely kind, polite and helpful throughout our stay. Whatever we needed, they always tried to provide it with a smile. Our room was a little small, but the high ceilings made it feel very spacious, airy and comfortable. We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom and air conditioning, which was exactly what we needed. Since our room was facing the back side, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The best part of the hotel is definitely its location. It is within walking distance of Roma Termini and many tourist attractions. In a city like Rome, where bus schedules can sometimes be unpredictable, Termini is probably the best starting point to reach every part of the city easily. From there, you can get almost anywhere in around 20–30 minutes. There are also many restaurants, markets and coffee shops nearby, and we really liked the safe and pleasant atmosphere of the neighborhood. If we ever come back to Rome, we would definitely stay here again!

The staff are lovely and kind. The location is amazing. Everything was nice and clean. The only bad thing was the size of the room and the bathroom, which was a bit small, but apart of this everything was nice. The room and bathroom were a bit small.

The room was decent - not so big, but with all of the essentials for a good stay- comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The receptionists were very kind and provided useful advices about Rome and anything that that we needed.
