About Hotel Arcangelo
Hotel Arcangelo enjoys a quiet location just a few streets behind Castel Sant’Angelo. Set in a completely restored building in an Art Nouveau style, it features a roof garden with views of nearby Saint Peter’s Basilica. All rooms are en suite. The Arcangelo is the only 3-star hotel of the area provided with an outdoor parking. A garage is also available nearby. Communal areas are elegant, and the rooms all come with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. A generous sweet and savory buffet is served daily in the breakfast room or directly in your room. In the surrounding residential area you will find great shopping streets and numerous cafés and restaurants. The Vatican is a 10-minute walk away, as is Piazza Navona, across the river. The location Dont have a bar or a restaurant. Dont have parking even they say so

The location was in a great area that had good restaurants and was not touristy. Close to the Vatican. We had arranged for airport pick up through the hotel and after a long flight there was no one to pick us up. Eventually the hotel got someone to get us but it would have been helpful to know that they were messaging through What’s Ap so we didn’t have to keep calling. Staff was helpful if asked but not particularly friendly.

Inflexible management. Booked 2 rooms. We were with reenage kids. Woukd not give us 2 rooms next to each other without charging extra. Very noisy in the morning. They are doing construction work.

Excellent breakfast (scrambled eggs, ham, juices, breads and pastries, fruit and more). Staff friendly and willing to help. Location was ideal (10 minute walk to Vatican, 5-7 minute walk to several bus lines, 10 minute walk to Lepanto Metro station) Mattress was very comfortable. Felt safe walking in area. Beautiful view of St Peter's Dome from rooftop deck. Nothing

Location is Great. Staff is Amazing and Helpful. I Specifically Reserved a Room.with AC. It was Confirmed plus it is listed on the Ad. I stayed here last year and the Room was Nice and Air Conditioned. Unfortunately, I had a Different Room recently on the 5th Floor - Top Floor. AC did Not work. Check in Attendant Confirmed that it would work upon my arrival. I used the room later in the evening due to my busy appts until later and dinner in the evening. I struggled with little to no sleep because of the Warm, Humid Rome night (that is Why I specifically requested AC and was Confirmed by the Hotel several times). I slept for possibly 1 hour overall due to being very warm and uncomfortable. I was Extremely Tired for the Following Day and I needed to Get to the Vatican by 8 am and then leave for a road trip to the Umbria region (3 hour drive). I feel as though because this visit was only for 1 night that I was put in a "poor" or "older" room with AC problems - the unit appears severely outdated. If you are looking for AC as I was, please Insist and Inspect first thing you see the Room selection. As indicated, other aspects were Nice, such as Location to Vatican, Staff, Nice Breakfast and Parking (although minimal and tight space for sure). Larry

Smaller rooms than an American can expect but clean and well kept. Room size

The location is good. The bed was comfortable and most staff friendly. Like many Italian hotels the Arcangelo is tired and dated. The kettle didn’t work and they didn’t have a replacement and two of the outlets didn’t work. The sink in the bathroom leaked, there was no shower just a bath with a sprayer.

Walking distance to Vatican, Rome center, etc The staff arranged for airport pickup (for a fare) Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were nice and helpful. They allowed us to keep our luggage after checkout. One small elevator that could take max 200kg I think. Breakfast was good but could be more diversified, lots of sweets selection though. Looks like the milk was sour (turned), we announced the staff, but next morning same problem…

I enjoyed the atmosphere, the people at the reception desk were very helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful.

Bed was really firm, though that is a personal presence and just to be aware.

Lovely hotel. Well located, nearly everything is walkable. The staff is great, Emiliana had some excellent restaurant recommendations.

The location is fantastic, the staff is nice Do not use the safe,, it is not safe!! Although I reported to the receptionist that I lost money from the safe, he said “ I will report to the management”,, this happened on my last night. But then I did not hear from them!!
