Windsor Guanabara Hotel

Hotel is in the center if you need be there during day time. Is good standard hotel. Hotel is in the center of city only for people who come there for work somwhere in the ceter or if want to visit only day time city. In the night center area is extreme danger, with lot of homeless people on the street. Just cant go walk evening or nioght there in the center.

Great places to walk near the water and lots of culture and museums in this area. One of the staff on arrival shouted at me and made me feel stupid for not speaking Portuguese... but he did not try to speak to me in any of the 5 languages I do speak...

Proximity to historical center and Little Africa. Quick check in process. Service could be better. Gym, pool feel outdated and not a nice area to relax in. Breakfast and restaurant meals could be improved

Excellent location, great food, I mean exceptional food. Nothing.

Location unsafe, many homeless people sleeping there, no map or exact information available at the desk to find a museum nearby. Worst was the elevators, running extremely slow up and down, only 2 out of 3 working. Spent a little g time waiting for elevator down to breakfast, more time waiting to go back upstairs to room, then a really long time waiting for elevator to go down to lobby to leave. Then past the homeless encampment again and lost trying to find the museum. Never again!

I liked the location and the cleanliness. Also, the possibility of a safe parking lot.

Got our early check in approved with management. Which was much appreciated. There was a good security presence which made us feel safe.The room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful view. Very good water pressure.

Super helpful people, everyone is very nice. Breakfast was very good. Mind you, the location can be dodgy at night, be careful not to wear anything flashy or go out alone as a young woman without men. But it is not hotel's fault, it's just Brazil.

Good location for our pre-cruise stay. Very nice buffet for breakfast and dinner. Construction noise around our room for a few hours in the afternoon. Terrible wifi.

Being in Rio

Great location / organized properly for carnaval/ hotel provides great breakfast buffet. Hair dryer is not working properly. Rest of room is clean and organized.

The breakfast!!! Plenty of selections!!! Only problem- and I understand the hotel has nothing to do with it but tourists should be aware, is whenever you exit your taxi outside the hotel, a handful of beggars waiting outside the hotel come running out to you begging for money and food. I'm not heartless, but having to always mentally prepare for this before arriving back at the hotel was always mentally tolling.

Staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of choices. Rooftop pool was a nice touch. The location in the business district is pretty desolate on a holiday weekend. Elevator was exceptionally slow, leading everyone to wait a long time to go up and down. Room didn't have any extra touches, but it was fine.

Poor insulation of the bedrooms, you could hear the elevator and people walking around. Also, the mini bar made a lot of noise at night, and it couldn't be unplugged
