Hyatt House Raleigh North Hills

I like the location, it’s close to the shopping area, with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The room is a decent size, and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is also a nice plus. I didn’t use it myself, but I imagine it’s very helpful for families or anyone who has the time and prefers to cook. The staff was also nice and smiley. The biggest issue was the housekeeping. I stayed for 6 nights, and my room was cleaned only once during that time. I checked in on Sunday and had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door on Monday, which I completely understand. However, on the following days there was nothing preventing housekeeping from cleaning the room, yet it was only cleaned on Thursday. There was also a card in the room stating that housekeeping would be provided every other day, so this was quite disappointing. Another major issue was getting my invoice. I requested it more than five times throughout my stay. I asked when I made the booking, again when I checked in, and at checkout I was told that I would receive it by email. Several days have now passed, and I still haven’t received it. I also made a few other requests through Booking.com and the hotel’s website, but unfortunately, I didn’t receive a response to those either. A few smaller things I noticed: The iron in the room wasn’t very good. It leaked water and didn’t work particularly well. The TV only offers screen sharing from a device, so there’s no direct way to use apps such as Netflix. I tried to plug in my Dyson (hair styler), but the outlet didn’t seem to provide enough power for it to turn on.

Check-in was easy, staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet. It all went smoothly. Only (very minor) quibble was that the toilet kept running -- had to jiggle the handle. We reported it at checkout.

The bed was way too soft. The room smelled and bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. No moisturizer in the bathroom and according to the front desk they have been out for over a month. Breakfast was barely ok. Eggs were watery, pork sausage under cooked, breakfast potatoes mushy and coffee terrible. For almost $300 a night, I would expect ALOT BETTER!

Everything Nothing

Good breakfast with friendly staff. Great room for 2 adults and 2 kids, mini kitchen. Divider between the kids and adult area should be more private. The sound from the tv carries.

Great room with lots of space and very nice atmosphere. Immaculately clean. Would absolutely stay here again!

Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Good location with plenty of dining options. Staff were nice and helpful. Pool was very close to pedestrians. Smell from kitchen was noticable at the pool.
