This was such an authentic place to stay, right on the beach, next to the port. It was convenient for exploring during the day and for restaurants and live Greek music at night. In fact, Tarsanas had delightful live music almost every night. It is also close to the main street where you can find the taxi stand, although many nearby sites are walkable. My stay included breakfast prepared by the very accommodating Vera, and my breakfast companions included 2 very friendly cats. I stayed 8 days and could have easily stayed much longer. I will come back one day with the family. This place was everything I was looking for.

Closeness to restaurants and beach, and view of sea from room with sea view Rooms were small and needs updating, but still we would gladly stay again!
-
The location and the very pleasant staff The room size was fine but does need updating in bathroom and sheets that fit bed. No bath mat and tiny inadequate shower. Better lighting.

Showed up- place was deserted- phone # on door wouldn’t work- had to call booking to get thru to owner- who then showed up & let me in. Didnt get ocean view room I had reserved but room was ok. When people finally showed up it was so noisy- you can hear the front door slam every time it closes, people in the stairs, talking… left a day early just so i could be assured of getting some sleep.

The Tarsanas Hotel is ideally located in the beach hotel. The hotel has its own restaurant serving traditional Greek cuisine. The rooms are larger than the regional standard, the room had a kitchenette with a large fridge with freezer compartment. The breakfast is rich and plentiful, with fresh fruit for breakfast. From the restaurant terrace it is only a few steps to the sea. Guests of the restaurant receive a sunbeds free of charge. The beds are comfortable and the location is quiet, you sleep very well to the sound of the sea. The rooms have a balcony, on the sea side you can see the island of Agathonisi and Karavopetra.

- The location of Tarsanas is fantastic, close to the port with its own beach. - Breakfast was great. - The owner George were so friendly. The hotel's rooms are comfortable but its needs renovation mainly in winter season.

The Breakfast was good, The owners are a lovely old couple, but the property is in need of a good update. The shower rooms were dated.

Friendly kind helpful staff. Short walking distance from ferry. Perfect location to restaurants and shops. I loved the old worldly feel to this rambling stone built property. It’s a budget property but well worth the stay. The bed was comfortable for me. The beach was right in front with many sun beds so no need to go anywhere else. Yes I would stay here again.

Situated on the beach in the beautiful town of Pythagorion Samos The beach was stoney but manageable but entry into the sea was not a pleasant experience.

ME AND MY FREIND HAS NOTHING TO LIKE REGARDING THE TARSANAS MANAGEMENT AND THE STAYED HOTEL. Booking. com staff and myself contacted to hotel management many times for two single beds room. But we haven't received clear reply from the hotel. Once I reached the hotel management and he told that I should call him one day before arrival. We were on the way to Kusadası and we were not able to call. I sent many times e-mail to you and to the hotel. When we reached the hotel , he told that he did not know that we are two male guests. I sent e-mail many times that we want two single beds room...He offered us to stay one night in a double bedroom and he said you can take blanket on yourself for one night so that it resembles like sleeping in two single beds... He told that he can move to another two single bedroom next day. But he checked his guest list and saw that it is not available the next day, I showed him from the list that it is available the following day. Then he decided to move us to another hotel which he is in charge. There was a room available with two single beds. That hotel was very uncomfortable, dining area was very limited. Breakfast was very weak...Besides we paid for a hotel next to the sea. We were dreaming to have the breakfast next to the sea...But we stayed another hotel which is between the streets and no view. The name of the hotel we stayed is Marion. We haven't paid for that hotel, we paid for Tarsanas. Thus I would like to have refund from the hotel and I will complain to Greek Ministery of Tourism. Besides I have suspicion about that he rented our room to another old couple or two males which has paid half board. We were not happy with our stay at Marion, the jam has finished one day and we asked for jam and the hotel worker Paula told us that jam is finished, next day they offered us honey. İt was so amateur. ME AND MY FREIND HAS NOTHING TO LIKE REGARDING THE TARSANAS MANAGEMENT AND THE STAYED HOTEL. Location was great, staff fantastic, the room was comfortable, however very dated furniture and bathroom needs update especially the shower. The shower in the bathroom needs updating, the self contained component of the room ie cooking facilities didn't work. The area you move through from accommodation to eating area was often overcrowded with supplies to the kitchen/bar.

view from the balcony is fantastic. The place is genuine Greek and very charming. The bed was a bit hard and the bathroom needs some renovation.
-
Location. We booked the room with See View, and received next building view. The room was very dirty and the owner very rude. The rest of the hotel staff excellent !!!
-
The location was great breakfast and evening meal was great so much food and staff fantastic and so helpful all the time good entertainment thankyou to George and all his staff for all the help you gave us will see you all soon
-
The location was good right on a pebble beach. The staff were all very nice ,Vera was really pleasant. The room number 9 was on the top floor it had a pitch ceiling making it feel very oppressive. The bathroom was difficult to use due to it's small size.and sloping ceiling. The stairs were steep and narrow..
-
The location The shower drain was blocked and flooded the bathroom and bedroom a major health risk we only stayed 1 night waiting for refund on the money we paid
-
It had everything. Excellent food, a great staff team, charismatic and an informed host, spontaneous music, and a fabulous location. A time capsule among a chi-chi front in Phythagorou More people were not discovering it. Suited us but it needs more traffic

The town of Pythagorio is incredibly beautiful, small and cozy located on a steep hill with a very cozy harbor. The hotel Tasana is located at the very end of the harbor boulevard and is really worth a visit. Typical Greek atmosphere, especially because of the nice staff and the special owner, a very nice man. The terrace is located from the sea, you can take a nice dip tomorrow or relax on the sunbeds. Enjoyed the delicious dishes that differ every day depending on the chef's inspiration.
