Everyone is extremely nice. I was upgraded to a beautiful room with amazing a/c and view. There is also a lovely pool and great service as well as a convince store a few minutes away! and the beach is also a few minutes away. This place has a true Mexican style, not like a high rise hotel. It’s authentic and feels very safe. I would definitely come back!

It’s a beautiful place and the staff is amazing. Air conditioning did not work the whole time we were there.

Staff were excellent and very attentive to guests Very old rooms and smell of sewerage. We had to pay extra for an upgrade but still old. Sink was blocked and toilet seat broken. Shower door broken and kept opening on you while showering. Air con would not cool below 24 deg c. Come on, these are basic maintenance issues !!

Nice pool area and the restaurant. Good value for the money. I liked that they had a beach shuttle. We did not realize property was not on the beach as photos are little misleading. Room was not very clean. Part of the hotel we stayed in was very dated and in need of renovation.

I really liked the beach and the shoreline — the sand was nice and everything was clean. However, what I did not like was that vendors were constantly walking around trying to sell something. It was difficult to simply relax peacefully and enjoy the beach without being interrupted all the time. I did not like the condition of the room. The furniture is old, the room feels quite dark, and several things were broken. The safe was not working, the air conditioner did not work properly, the faucets were leaking, and the toilet kept clogging. The bed linens and towels were very old and even had holes in them. I stayed at this hotel only because I was attending a conference in Puerto Vallarta and the price was reasonable for me. However, I would not stay there again.

Simple cute resort. The staff was great. The tub was massive and the rooms were large Not really all inclusive as they don’t stock your mini fridge and a cold drink in the morning from the fridge after the hang over would be lovely. Small pool but they take you to the beach. The snack bar at the pool didn’t have much options

Some staff were nice. Pretty much everything.

This is perhaps my 5th stay at the Hacienda. I was pleasantly comfortable in my room which was very nice. The areas were clean and well maintained. The staff all were pleasant to me and hard working. The beach area was supported well with staff. At breakfast the eggs were amazing with many choices and quickly made. I just wish the food available at the other meals were of equal quality. I am surprised the food choices day after day for all meals except the breakfast were not good. The salad, potatoes and fruit available sustained me throughout my stay. The dinner meats were not tasty at all and were more suitable for a children's menu. The wait staff was attentive to me and that helped making my meals somewhat satisfactory. I am just surprised the food grade has dropped so much in less than a year.

food and staffs the beach no washrooms

Pool and the pool bar/snack bar were really nice! A fair price for a resort. The buffet food stunk and we didn’t get a chance to eat at the sit down restaurant. Also, we were there during the cartel violence and while the staff were great on ensuring we were taken care of, the reception staff were awful in trying to arrange additional stays while the city was shut down.

Location and not crazy busy Rooms and resort could be updated.

Very quickly, I realized this was happening to every new guest who walked in. It became obvious that this wasn’t hospitality—it was a funnel into a timeshare presentation. I even asked the concierge directly whether this was a sales pitch, because I didn’t want to be pressured. They assured me it was just breakfast and a tour. That was not true. The next morning, after breakfast, the timeshare sales team came in. I declined repeatedly, but they kept sending more people—three in total—each one more pushy than the last. I was told I was wasting their time, that I wasn’t being honest, and that I probably couldn’t afford it anyway. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. When they finally brought me back to the hotel, the attitude from the concierge changed immediately. The friendliness was gone, and it was clear that because I didn’t buy anything, I was no longer worth their time. This wasn’t just my experience. For the four days I stayed, this was the number one topic among guests at the pool. Everyone was being pressured into the same “breakfast tour,” and many felt misled or intimidated. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never encountered a timeshare operation embedded directly into the hotel itself. It overshadowed the entire stay and left a terrible impression. I would not recommend staying here unless you are specifically looking for a timeshare pitch.

Lovely small Mexican resort, grounds are absolutely beautiful, rooms spacious, close to beach Pool lovely but kept too warm.

Specialty restaurant very good. Buffet restaurant has good. Staff excellent. Breakfast and Mexican fiesta meal at buffet restaurant are good but lunch and supper at buffet restaurant have declined over the years. I have stayed here seven times and am always bothered that they take away the cushions on the chairs in the interior courtyard so there is no quiet place to sit after 6 pm so you have to go sit by the noisy bar and noisy pool in the evening and early morning.

The staff was amazing! We had a large size room with a king size bed. We loved being on the second floor. I felt the bed was comfortable and I loved my pillow. There is no elevator but that wasn't an issue for us. The food was pretty good! There were so many choices everyday. About 3 times during the week there were shows to watch, by the pool. We felt like we were on a cruise on land. It was very relaxing. Some evenings the water pipes made noises. Not sure why but not always. I wish there had been a restroom at the beach. There are some areas of the room that could use a little tlc. It would have been nice that the Internet worked better so we could stream some of our shows in the evening.

The warm pool! The helpful staff who carried our bags up 4 flights of stairs, Julio I think! Beautiful gardens with a variety of healthy tropical plants! Definitely showing its age! Could use some paint & get the plumbing fixed as there is strange odour. Broken ladies bathroom meant line ups most times! Also the line ups for main buffet… every time! Perhaps provide more seating options to allow more people to be seated.
