Breakfast was very average compared with other hotels we stayed The hotel was difficult to find and hated that the reception asked for a further tip as we left as it for us, was an expensive hotel and service were ordinary As above

Exceptional

Location. Staff at morning buffet were nice. Front desk staff were not friendly. I had the junior suite and the bathroom was big but sink and shower looked like it was for handicap. Closet also never closed.

The style was very pretty and chique. No spa or pool facility.

Location. Nice restaurant area. Big room with very good bed. They have a valet service, but it is not clear in the given direction how to get to the hotel and you need to pass a sign that it is forbidden for cars, not mentioned in the directions from the hotel. Staff was good but not what you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Adding automatically recommended tip on the bill is also strange, did not encounter that one anywhere else. Breakfast and breakfast arrangement need work to reach the star rating.

Great location. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good choice at breakfast. We had two evening meals which were excellent. We booked a Junior Suite. Had room 9. On Saturday night we were woken and kept awake by people who were drunk and extremely loud. This was between 2.00 and 3.00am. Sunday night we were woken and kept awake in the early hours. This wasn’t by people in the hotel but outside of it. It ruined what otherwise would have been a great stay.

The best thing about this hotel is the location - it is so central. The room was nice and spacious, very clean, and had beautiful stained glass windows. The only downside to this room is that it is at street level, so there is some noise - but not too much for me. Breakfast was downstairs and it was awkward to carry plates and hot drinks back up to the table, I didn't want to eat downstairs as it was too small and dark.The selection of food for breakfast was pretty good, but the cups for the coffee were small.

Location perfect. Prime spot in the heart of the old town yet our room was peaceful and quiet. We walked everywhere, and the location felt very safe. Junior Suite was perfect for 2 adults and a child. The firm mattress was the most comfortable bed I have laid on. Excellent air con, smart TV, safe, bath, lots of storage and a mini bar (paid). Housekeeping did a superb job keeping everything clean and replenished. Breakfast was super. Simple, fresh and well stocked. Dinner in the Deer Restaurant was exceptional! We dined there twice. High quality kids menu and superb a la carte menu with varied options. Fine dining which was affordable, with large portions. Price point was spot on. Excellent value for money. The guys on reception weren't that warm or welcoming. They were quiet and not very friendly. For a 5* hotel I would expect complimentary bottles of water in the room each day. Albeit the tap water was fine to drink.

Everything was excellent and the most convenient location for all major attractions. Room spotless, staff very polite and facilitating, great breakfast too. The set up for breakfast was a bit inconvenient for terrace seating, one had to walk up and down steps to fill up a plate. Unless you were seated inside, where it was kinda dark and not very inspiring compared to the terrace.
