Close to Trindade metro station. Walking distance to the city centrum. Breakfast was OK. The first room we were offered had black mold in the bathroom. The second one on the ninth floor was extremely humid. Finally, the third one on the first floor was OK, although still really humid. There was only one person at the reception able to speak English that was helpful. The other ones simply ignored us for the rest of our stay. Upon check out the only work we got was "Ok". Breakfast was OK for quality and quantity. There is the chance to get freshly made omelettes but the cook kept on using his phone and touching his nose and never washed his hands (no gloves ...) so we opted for eating whatever else. Nobody from the staff greeted us at breakfast (which is acceptable in bigger hotels but odd in smaller ones). At the reception, with the exception of the only English speaking member of the staff, everybody else replied to salutes or greetings only when spoken to first (and we tried to say good evening etc in portuguese). Finally, though this is not of course a fault of the hotel, homeless people were sleeping 5 meters from the main door. We never felt in any "danger" but it was quite odd. Hotel Trindade was unfortunately the worst experience we had in Portugal and with Booking in 13 years.

The location very close to metro and 20-30 minutes by walking from everything. Very nice personel. The noise. You can hear your neighbourns all the time, their shower, if they laugh. So in some nights and mornings wasn't very nice to wake up like this. The air conditioner was working all the time so we had to use blankets. The towels didn't had a space to deposit and keeping them on the top of the toilet is not hygienic

Location was perfect and the accommodation and facilities were excellent. Welcome drink, fabulous breakfast and a midday checkout. There wasn’t anything. We only stayed one night before heading off north but would have happily stayed for a few nights for a longer city break

Location to public transport, perfect, although the hill was steep. Hotel cleanliness perfect.Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast exceptional variety. Bedroom spacious, coffee cups too small for English customers. Bedroom sound insulation inadequate could hear all bathrooms being used, and every coversation, the bedroom lighting was no good for reading in bed. Noise from other bedrooms when trying to sleep. Tea / coffee cups too small. Porto was very crowded. We prefered Braga. We went by train
