So many good points to this hotel! Central location, helpful and friendly staff, room was spotless and bed was so comfortable. We loved all the little vintage touches to the decor such as the type writers and telephone which tied in with the history of the building. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was great

I made Porto A.S. 1829 my home base for a week of exploring Porto and surrounding area. The location was amazing, the room stunning and the live music outside had a great vibe. There was also a great spread for breakfast. The front desk staff were always friendly and willing to answer any questions. I was able to get an early check-in which was wonderful after a long train ride. They also had luggage storage if required! The prices for laundry service were surprising.

La ubicación es perfecta y su gente súper amable.. recibí mi cumple 40 ahi y en la habitación me tenían un súper detalle de cumpleaños! De verdad que la mejor elección para pasar mi día tan especial! Todo estuvo perfecto.

It is a beautiful characterful building, with elegant vintage touches but doesn’t cost the earth. The location cannot be beat. The pillows. Could do with better pillows.
