Portus Cale Hotel

Location was great and the staff was really nice! Breakfast had always the same options :/ the bar downstairs did not have a lot of options in the menu, and the service there was a bit slow. The carpet in the corridor was full of stains. The room looked clean, but walking around barefoot left my feet really dirty

Friendly staff, great location and very clean and comfortable room.

Breakfast could have been a little more original with one or two local dishes.

Very spacious and super comfortable room, quiet neighborhood, well connected to public transport. Impeccably clean sheets and linen. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Loved it!

Breakfast items are limited. No complementary drinking water in the room.

Breakfast nothing to write home about!!!! Sfatt was very welcoming and pleasant. They answer questions, never tired of helping, great people.

The hotel is well located for our purposes. The room was pretty spacious, the beds - comfortable. The breakfast was well-suited to all ages – the presence of both savory and sweet options, combined with healthy choices like yogurt and fruit, meant everyone could find something they liked. 1. I missed the gym. 2. The cleanliness needs to be improved - I may have missed the hotel policy on cleaning but the floor in the room was not clean throughout our stay. I noticed dust bunnies collecting in the corner behind the entrance doo of the room, which indicated that the floor had not been vacuumed or mopped even prior to or during our stay. The dust buildup stayed there till the end of our stay.

Great staff

Modern building, friendly & efficient staff, good quiet lift system, nice clean room with comfy bed & pillows, excellent hot shower, mini bar (didn’t use), big tv on wall (didn’t use), good breakfast with plenty of choice, small downstairs bar. Easy to get hop-on-hop-off sightseeing bus from bus stop a few minutes walk from outside hotel. About 10 minute cobblestone-paved walk from Casa da Musica Metro station. Next door to a good cafe/restaurant/patisserie, plus a fish restaurant and another cafe - all useful, as hotel is a fair distance from the city centre. N/A

Nice hotel. Every day the room was very clean with fresh towels and nicely made up bed. Decent location. Walking distance to subway/metro Casa Musica. The only thing I’d like better was breakfast. It was a decent one but didn’t meet my expectations for the 4 stars hotel, I’d say it felt more like 3 stars hotel.

Good hotel, excellent value. It is quite away from the tourist attractions, but if location is fine for you that’s a great place to stay. Staff is very nice and room is really comfortable.

Exceptional

The room lacks several standard amenities expected in a four-star hotel, such as body lotion, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, as well as slippers, a robe, and an iron in the room. Adding a rug would also make the space feel more comfortable.

The hotel has is nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be better. However, there is a wonderful cafe just the next door to the hotel, so it’s better to skip breakfast in the hotel and go to that cafe.

Exceptional

The hotel was fabulous! It was even more luxurious than I had expected! The hotel is clean, elegant and sophisticated. The staff is helpful, friendly and professional. My room was very spacious and elegant. The bathroom was also huge! I stayed here for one night only, but I wish I could stay in the hotel forever! The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise - there were so many options to choose from. I liked everything, so there's nothing bad I could say.
