Hampton Inn Portage

The pool was not functional. They did not have any more breakfast items available when we went down. It smelled like cigarette in the room and a few times during our stay the cigarette smell was just disgusting in our bathroom. I would not recommend this place.

Very run down and dirty. I’ve had better stays at a motel 6. It definitely didn’t meet the standards one would expect, especially for the ridiculous price. The sheets were cheap and wouldn’t stay on the bed, the room was hot with no way to lower the temperature. The shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed. Will stay in Chicago next time.

Great short stay had it all

Everything was great. The only thing negative I have to say is the door to my room was very hard to open and close. It felt like it was stuck. Other than that, everything was great.

Also appreciated the Peloton bike in the exercise room - felt like home with a normal routine for a small break in travel. !!!

Breakfast was great. Hotel could have been cleaner.

Front desk attendant was super helpful!

For a Hilton and a nightly charge of $250/night. It definitely was not worth the value.. didn’t have a full set of towels, plastic cups, not even a wine opener. Very disappointing.

Helpful and kind staff. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced. It was sticky and dirty.

Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They made the stay comfortable and relaxing.

Overall pretty great place to stay. The breakfast was better than most hotel breakfast I’ve had. They also have a decent fitness area which I appreciated and used. The room was clean and perfect temp when we walked in. Big tv and easy to use. The only issue we seemed to notice was the tub. We only showered but the center of our tub was so concaved it was very difficult to shower. Also like no water pressure. Idk if it was just our specific room or what. Besides that great place to stay.

The staff were very polite and courteous. Every evening when my wife and I would come back in the hotel, the lady behind the front counter would tell us, I hope you have a great night and pray for a good night's sleep. That meant a lot to us that someone would say that to us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The breakfast was very good and well stocked.

Great customer service

Nice, Quiet areas. Good room and comfortable bed. Nice tall shower. One irritation is that the television was a pain to use.

Parking safe and easy . Staff extremely friendly . Bed was very comfortable. I feel rooms are on the verge of needing updating and I would like the window to be able to be open for fresh air . Then it would be A 5 star for what it is : a place to stay off the highway .

The pool was small but clean, the room and beds were clean, and the breakfast was excellent.

Great place to stay. Close to beaches, Chesterton Market, Michigan City. and more.. Just off interstate. Staff were so helpful. Decent breakfast. We only received 1 hand towel, should have asked for more. We would definitely stayhere again.
