Mararena Family Apartments & Long Stay Living - Steps from 5th Avenue

The location was nice, having multiple bedrooms and a kitchen was nice. Cleaning people refreshed towels every couple of days. The pool is not very good. It's just somewhere you could dip into but freezing in February when visited. The apartment is not child safe. The front window is huge and opens all the way up so that any person could easily break thru the glass or fall right out of the window if open. We installed a little child lock so that children couldn't open the window at least. The table was all glass and also dangerous and there was a coffee table looking thing that was all glass as well. The kitchen plates and glasses were highly breakable and there are not many items in the kitchen but we were able to make due. Bring your own washcloths for the bathroom as they provide very few. Couch and chair in living room were very uncomfortable and lumpy. The TV wifi cut on and off very regularly limiting your ability to watch things on apps but that might have been a whole town issue and wasn't our main focus on our vacation. The power to the apartment cut out for a couple hours once but maintenance people were friendly and on site and it might have been turned off because they were looking at plumbing. The washing machine in the apartment did not function properly. It would run but left our clothes soaked and we spent our entire week trying to wash a load of clothes. The landlord said they'd check it out to fix when we left though. There's a laundromat nearby but they do not open at the time listed in the morning fyi. The elevator can not be relied on. It was broken most of the time. There are no staff on-site but the landlord or person to contact usually was responsive by text.

Very difficult to check-in Elevated does not work and was on the 5th floor. Power kept cutting out throughout day and night, very loud. Difficulty sleeping. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. Find another place.

The elevator in the building was not working

As far as the condo, just the location. As soon as we walked in you could see the photos were stock photos and not actual. There were stains and grim noticeable on every wall throughout after initial entry..Entry was slow as well, waiting on whatsapp responses, not just for us but many people we noticed. On to the kitchen, it was very poorly stocked with only one skillet and a spoon to cook with instead of a spatula. The fridge was barely keeping food cold enough so we bought no dairy the whole trip. Wifi kept going down and only worked off you sit on the couch. When entering the bedrooms there was a horrible urine smell. It was later discovered to be mold in both showers. It got much better after we scrubbed the walls with bleach. Next we noticed only one of the three beds had a blanket. No extra for two other people, just had to sleep with the temperature warm enough that a blanket wasn't needed. One of the smaller beds is also broken to one side and leans, super fun while trying to sleep. Luckily we were on the first floor because the elevator was not working. Overall a very run down place and the pictures are pretty deceiving. We forgot to take pictures as we were just happy to get out.

It was an awful place to stay, water didn't work, internet didn't work and facility response was worse

Location Construction of rooms, and the circular room windows where you can see into another apartments and hear your neighbours ie. crying baby at 4am… tight driveway, weird purple neon lights in rooms

I suggest you to not rent this apartment. The water in the toilet does not flush, there were stains on the sheets and the apartment has an unpleasant smell. I will also mention that on the day we arrived there was no running water in the apartment until 8pm.

The 2 persons working there, Wendy and the cleaning lady were nice and helpful. Rooms are disgusting, stains all over the sofa, beds headboards, hairs everywhere, all equipment is old and broken (see photo of microwave), apartment is dark with only one window, pool is really small, old and fall into pieces. Don’t expect to swim. We were supposed to spend a week but left after 1 night that we didn’t even sleep since the locker in the bedroom , that was locked and not usable, rang every 5 min for entire night. Don’t be fooled by photos of the owner, reality is really different, find something else!!
