Location, structure, nature, friendly staff, amenities. Breakfast.

The property was beautiful, the rooms were well air-conditioned and clean. Beautiful place. The fan in our room did not work, but they quickly replaced it with one that did. Food was good with lots of options. We were there for a wedding, which was absolutely beautiful. We made a reservation at Fuego for our second night. When we got to the restaurant, it was close completely. We only had one option for dinner on the property.

Property is in great location clean, comfortable, very nice staff. Food was excellent. the hotel fees amount was more than what it said on our booking description ( pay at the property) and the fact that we booked a all inclusive the resort and they doesn’t serve food or drink all day and if we wanted to go out to do something we have to make it back on time to get food or go out for dinner.

Great location, nice and friendly staff! Pools are great and restaurant were great! The need to book in advance tables at the restaurant, and the need to sign every meal when entering and leaving. Also the dinner buffet at Olas as well as the breakfast can get some more variety.

The location of the property was excellent - close to the beach and close to the 5th avenue where all the action is in Playa Del Carmen. Accessible to all the good places to eat and drink around the hotel. The front staff (at the main reception) was pathetic - they were certainly not friendly, extremely curt and did not have any answers for us when we had legitimate questions. Infact we got better answers and responses from the staff manning the gates than the staff sitting in reception or the concierge.

Location and layout The rooms were very dated and needed pairing and just re done To let seat broken first day never fixed. Light fixtures in bathroom rusted. Things just looked run down inside. For the price charged that was not good value.

Lovely grounds and great location. The pools were clean andthere was plenty of room both at the beach and bools for lounges. Too bad the hot tubs were not hot. Somewhat poor reception staff. We did not get the King bed that was booked and instead had two doubles. We did not receive a welcome drink as pledged. We did not have access to the buffet breakfast at $20 US per person as advertised. And there was lots of confusion about the policy of having guests visit the resort - we were told it cost 1,200 pesos and the 850 pesos, we were told they could carry their credit over to dinner and then told that was not allowed. Not well trained.

The hotel is worn down and it shows in rooms, the swimming pools are not very clean and the sunlounges are dirty from bird poop. Otherwise the hotel gardens are very clean and beautifuly styled

We were given a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room. However, as it was on the periphery of the property, there was no internet in the room. The room was very basic. The air conditioning, though set at 16C, was almost ineffective. The wood on the decking was bare...it had not been sanded or varnished in ages. We were on the half board plan. The food was uninspiring and it was very evident that left overs from the previous day were incorporated into the meal the following day. Prices for bar/pool food were extraordinarily expensive. There were not enough seating by the pool. Daypass people could come early and occupy seating all day thereby shutting out guests who were paying very high prices for their room. Seaweed dominated the shoreline. Unpleasant to enter the water by the hotel.

Wonderful place! Beautifully maintained, great service, and overall very relaxing. We will return!

The property is very well taken care of and beautiful! There’s a variety of pools and beach access, great amenities, and plenty of activities going on (shoutout to Geovanni, Alex, and Vale for Super Bowl on the beach!). Staff are always friendly and the location is perfect for those wanting to explore Playa del Carmen off resort.

It was well kept up and on a beautiful beachfront. Everything was within walking distance. I did not like that. The main beach run was not able to be used for six hours on Sunday due to a private party. I sat down to enjoy the sunset with a coffee and was told I needed to pay more money if I was going to sit there. Considering I had already spent a significant amount of money for my lodging and I found it ridiculous that I had to pay more money to use the main beach front. I also did not like that. They were not replenishing our coffee pots in the morning and when we requested them to be replenished, we were charged a room service fee for them. When I’m spending more than $500 a night it seems that a two dollar coffee pot should be included in my stay.

Room was very old and not sustained. Doors didn’t closed. 2 of big wood sticks which surround the private pool fell very close to sun bed and only by chance didn’t causes injury.

Location is beautiful and during the day the property is quiet, calm and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bedroom gave me allergic reactions that made it difficult to breath and they didn’t have any hypoallergenic options available when asked. The worst part was the noise at night-we were located in villa 161 along the right side of the property and were kept up till very late at night every night because of the neighboring property hosting loud music and parties till all hours.

Pools and location Shower water was not warm enough, not every room is a hut.
-
Beach was small in front of our place

Location was good The worst hotel experience 1. Staff was incredibly rude. We go to Mexico 6 times a yr and never experienced such rude and arrogant staff. 2. Not helpful at all. 3. Room was not properly cleaned 4. There was no beach/ pool towel anywhere in resort, when asked everyday they told us there were 1 hr delay and they were coming from dryer. 5. The entertainer guy at hotel was border line illifal. He was hitting on our neighbor’s 16 yr old boys while hosting some game. Just disgusting DO NOT Stay at this hotel
-
The dancing instructor and entertainment guy was amazing! So resourceful and full of energy. Very engaging. You cannot find a beach towel after 11 am at this hotel. Our room number 6 was what they called ocean front was literally on a public beach with people almost on our deck with their boom box music until the morning.

The tropical look, the facilities, the kindness of all personnel, the policy of mandatory headphones to listen to music at the pool (should be extended to the beach as well) Nothing to comment

No shuttle to and from airport
