Piraeus Theoxenia Hotel

In my opinion, it was not clean at all. It was dirty.

Easy to walk to after our ship arrived into Piraeus, and the bed was soooo comfortable! Great breakfast in the morning! There isn’t anything that we didn’t like.

Nothing It was extremely outdated. Uncomfortable beds, shower didn’t work properly we had to hold the head of it to shower cause it wouldn’t stay up. Said there was a fitness facility except it was a couple weights in a very questionable basement.

I liked that the building is beautiful and close to the port and Marina Zeas. Close to many many shops. Buffet breakfast is good. I had specifically contacted them to have a working TV and balcony. I received no answer with that request. The TV was once again not working. The front desk did fix it. Next, I had no idea the pool was not functioning. I was then told it was not advertised on booking or anywhere but the pool is one reason I had booked. Finally, what was a bit of a shock, I booked on booking and paid through that. Then I paid for the night again. The booking reservation was not lifted. I needed to call my credit card company to have that changed. Once fixed, I told the hotel who told me they do not see that on the charges, but it was fixed by me so of course they didn’t see it. Booking was way more expensive than had I just booked with the hotel.

The hotel looks awful. Abandoned. Almost everything. I was very disappointed.

Friendly staff

Location is good, rooms were large and comfortable, breakfast was nice. The property is starting to show its age

The room

The hotel is very great located to the port (walking distance with stroller). For a short stay it's durable. The room is very old and outdated, the toilet flush extremely loud and the bathroom is very old. The AC did not do much. Breakfast was alright, but underwhelming.

Location was very central for Peiraus Internet was so slow that it was impossible to use Breakfast was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel The hotel in general feels very neglected, the furniture is very old and the premises need a good renovation touch (chairs a little bit broken, lights flickering in the restaurant, the drawers used to have a push button to open which doesn't work, the gym has no windows for some fresh air, the list can go on). It doesn't meet the standards of someone booking a 5 star hotel

Nothing, I asked if they had any non smoking rooms and the manager denied that a male in the staff room had been smoking. Nothing, two men at the front desk didn’t even bother to help us with our luggage. Pool out of order since March 2026 it’s the end of May. Picture on the website doesn’t match what you walk into.

Breakfast to late for the 7.30 ferry

The shower was a bit awkward. But it got the job done.

It is a dated hotel

The lobby was clean and the night auditor was friendly. I am happy with the place. It’s close to items that we needed that day.

Large room, great staff, lovely breakfast & restaurant
