This property is an historic coaching inn and is very well located in the centre of Penrith The furniture and decor in our very expensive ‘feature room’ were very shabby and dated. The room actually smelled of sweat. Everything needed replacing. You cannot offer a supposedly top rate room which smells of human sweat and where the sofa and chairs were notably worn and dirty.

In town centre with onsite parking. Quilt was too thick for summer use.

Had a great stay staff excellent. Having to pay for their carpark 6.50 a bit much when you are staying in their hotel.

Hotel position Facilities in the room poor. No handle on the toilet cleaning brush! Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Buckets catching water in reception when it rained!!!

A traditional historic hotel right in the centre of town. Great breakfast and friendly staff. It was really hot in the room as it was high summer but there was a fan. The decor is a little tired and old-fashioned but has its charm!
