Not the most welcoming/friendly service, shower wasn’t working properly, area is not the best for a family with young kids, quite expensive for what it offers.

Great location, friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice having a bedroom with a spare bed Shower water pressure could have been stronger. The AC on the last night seemed to not be working as well as previous nights.

Everything was excellent from the Staff, Room, Location and the Continental Breakfast. The Hotel Lucien is a boutique Hotel in a quiet neighborhood, that is walkable to many restaurants and not too far to walk to visit multiple Paris attractions. We loved our stay and will hopefully return soon. The staff was very helpful with walking directions, maps, and booking a wonderful taxi service back to the airport. They also made up our room everyday, which was a delightful surprise.

Location, clean and good value for money Air conditioning not working

Shower room was very small. The shower curtain was sticking to my body. The ventilator in the room was making noise. The room was gray and generally looked like needed refurbishment ( E.g. chipped cables). I was initially planning to stay in a double room with a friend of mine but the plans changed and I was by myself - if we were two of us, double room would have been too small. Generally, I believe the hotel is charging too much for the value of the room. Pictures looked good but reality was a little different. So perhaps a bit of fake advertising .I would not stay there twice. Lastly, there was general staircase refurbishment at the time of my stay, so that didn't add positively to the whole ambience. If you are not having high expectations then it's ok.

The elevator is very small, it barely fits two people, and doesn’t fit one person plus their suitcase.

Very friendly and helpful stuff, good location, free tee/ coffee and croissants. It was too strong smell of cleanser on the stairs.

- positioned close to Gare de l'Est and Porte Saint-Denis - staff was friendly - pretty clean - it was cold in the room. the heating was controlled from downstaris and it was done through an old AC. Didn't really work. - very small bathroom - the room didn't look like in the photos. the walls looked prety rough and the there was basically a hazard above the bed with the lights cover. - beds not very comforatable - breakfast was just a croissant and juice/coffee (not much of a bother since it was free)

Love it. A good location for Parisian vibe.

Excellent staff! Couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful.

Rashida, at the desk, was so kind and friendly and helpful, all the front desk folks were!

EXTREMELY small and run down. Especially the top floor room. The staff isn’t nice because they mess with your head, just go somewhere else. It is true that the area isn’t super super so don’t stay alone as a woman. They just care about their money. When I was shocked at how crazy bad the room was compared to the pictures, instead of having good customer service and giving a refund they played games (pretended they didn’t see the refund email from booking and lied to me. Thankfully booking was secretly on the phone at the same time and heard it ALL) finally they admitted that, no they had never planed to help me, just wanted to waste my time. - No elevator to top floor so good luck if you have a heavy bag.

Hôtel Lucien was such a pleasant surprise. I only came for two nights, so booked it mainly for its great location, without expecting much, but it ended up being a memorable stay. So welcoming and very clean. The hotel manager is super attentive and caring, I always saw him around making sure everything is in place and all of the guests are happy and feel at home. Can't recommend it enough!

Location is pretty good…I was able to walk to the Louvre, Pont Neuf for a boat tour, Les Marais for vintage shopping (too much junk) and the Westfield mall (it was raining). The best thing about the hotel is the kind staff, for Parisians, who let me leave my suitcase after checking out, for a few hours. The bed was clean and comfortable. Smallest room I’ve ever been in…barely enough room to open the suitcase and try to walk around. There is no closet in the room, just hooks and a couple of hangers right OVER THE TOILET!! I don’t particularly like having my clothes smelling like bathroom… I had stuff hanging every and anywhere around the room. The carpet could have used a good cleaning. The room smelled very musty and I had to keep the window open, plus burn some incense I just (luckily) happened to buy. Bring conditioner, there isn’t any. Sketchy streets around the hotel (the Uber driver told me to be careful at night), but easy to get to larger avenues that are much better.

Everything was great. Location, comfort, and cleanliness. The bonus free Parisian breakfast is a good touch.
