Close to the metro. Pretty quiet street even on July 13th-14th. Staff was very nice and accommodating No AC. Room very small. Due to heat wave room was really difficult to sleep in. They mention renovation are coming soon.

The hotel is old, you may call it traditional. Could need a modernisation.

The staff is really nice and welcoming

Great location with easy walk to 3 metro lines. Easy transfer to airport. Very nice breakfast. Several excellent Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants in close proximity with very reasonable prices. Room and bathroom was small but clean and comfy.

This is our second stay at Hotel des Ecrivains and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Very clean and comfortable room. Great location, right near a metro stop. Great cafés and restaurants in the area also. And the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful! ? We give 100 stars out of 10! Highly recommend and we will always stay here when in Paris.

Staff was wonderful. Breakfast food was delicious, fresh, plentiful and diverse, with plenty of protein. Location great, in a good neighborhood and close to transportation. Our room was excruciatingly small.
-
Excellent service of the breakfast! Excellent location of the accessibility to the metro. Safe neighborhood. Hotel is next to the police station, too. Staff are very friendly. Place d'ltalie metro station is very close and take us everywhere. I love metro!

This hotel was easy to reach by public transport, walking distance to the very nice Jardins de Plantes, and we had a comfortable stay with excellent breakfast. We also slept quite well, no noise and comfy bed. Everything was quite small - par for the course in Paris though.

City tax is too high. Haven't noticed it during booking. Walls are too thin, we were able to hear every single sound of toilet flushing and showers from other rooms, the footsteps in the corridor, the morning cleaning which seems to start as early as 6am wouldn't let you sleep it's extremely loud and noisy and it would be still ok if it's just noise, but there's no regard of sleeping people and they're cleaning in a narrow corridor while bumping onto the thin walls, it's terrible. Also the hair dryer was very dirty inside.

Hotel staff are very friendly. The petit dejeuner (breakfast) spread is EXCELLENT and highly recommended so that you don't have to waste time searching for less desirable alternatives; it included sliced meats and cheeses, breads and pastries with jams and honey, dried and fresh fruit, some granola stuff and yogurt and cherry tomatoes, juices, coffee and tea. The room was clean and comfortable and the street quiet. It's a short stroll from the Place d'Italie metro stop (a great location for those visiting the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle). Truly excellent value for cost. The bathroom facilities in my room were older and had tolerable quirks or flaws. Notably, the bathtub/shower was higher or higher-walled than usual, and the only thing handy to hang on to when you step out is the freely swinging half-door. It was fine for me, but might be difficult or hazardous for an elderly person with poor mobility.

The noise of others rooms is a litle bit annoying.
-
Excellent location in wonderful area of Paris.
-
Super good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, everything was very clean. Most of the rooms are very small but still functional.
-
Had a great stay at this hotel. The location is great with my food options nearby.
-
The breakfast was ample and varied. There were eggs, pastries, French baguettes and what bread, cheeses, ham, yogurt and fruit. The staff were extra friendly and the room clean and comfortable.
-
The room was a little small but it was good value for money.
-
The room was small, the breakfast was super simple with limited options, no proper ventilation in the bathroom and also in the room (there was just a basic fan in the room), elevator stopped at half floors which was inconvenient with luggage

Amazing experience. The lady at reception was very friendly and allowed us to check in early for a small charge. The room was very clean and well-equipped with facilities. Breakfast was decent and fresh. A quiet and peaceful hotel, perfect for families and small groups of friends nothing. Everything was perfect.

Everything was so great. It was very relaxed and the staff was accommodating. The atmosphere was wonderful. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Beds were very comfortable. I think the breakfast could have been a bit better.

Small room, it was not a queen bed
