Modern Hotel

The location was great One of the staff members verbally assaulted me and screamed at me and tried to charge me more money after i had already paid in full

The hotel was clean and well located. It was very hot in our room. Being on the 5th floor with no AC during a heat wave made sleeping very difficult. It was not the fault of the hotel, and they provided a fan which made a huge difference.

Perfect stay! The hotel was spotless, very comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Everything was simply perfect. I would definitely come back!

Location only No elevator , staff didn’t bother to help with 4 luggage and we are 2 girls

Simple but very decent hotel. Nice familiar neighborhood. The young guy who stayed at night in the front desk is really nice and helpful. No elevator, but we stayed at the second floor, so that was not a big problem for us. Noise at night, since other guests talk loud and make noise going up and down at the stairs.

Best value for a hotel in Paris. Located in Pere Lachaise (near bus 69 stop that runs east/west thru Paris ) Pere Lachaise has good restaurants and bars that are much cheaper than other places downtown Elevator is not yet available but look like construction for elevator under way.

The staff are wonderful--polite, professional and helpful. The Metro is just a couple of blocks away and there are numerous cafés within the block, grocery stores and even laundromats. so excellent location.

No elevator so I'm not sure the name ''Modern'' is accurate. It's common in Paris though and not usually a huge issue but not great when you walk with a cane and your room is on the 6th floor.

I do not recommend this hotel. There is no lift (as stated on the website), but the staircases are short and the corridors were dirty. The room’s acoustics are poor, you can hear everything from the next room and from people walking in the hallway, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The bed was very uncomfortable, which made resting even more difficult. The staff seemed disorganized; each person gave different information, with no consistency. Also, there were two guests in the room, but only one coffee sachet was provided. Overall, the hotel lacks attention to detail and guest comfort.

There wasn’t much to like about the hotel all I can is the location was good but the hotel itself wasn’t all that honestly. the rule about leaving the key every single time you stepped out absolutely annoying.

Very clean in the room and bathroom. The WiFi signal was variable, a lot of stairs up to our floor, totally understandable as an old building so if you are fit it is fine, but if you struggle with stairs hopefully lower floors are available.

Location and friendly No lift and working was carried inside( none was mentioned on i booked, it was disappointing as I wouldn’t choose if I knew it!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed in this hotel. Its location is a winner for me - Pere Le Chaise Metro at the top of the road, and all the sights and sounds of Paris within walking distance. The hotel itself is very basic, but we literally use it to sleep in, and that makes it excellent value. The beds are comfortable enough, and shower pressure is good. Everything is clean. The hotel is undergoing a programme of redecoration and rewiring at the moment, but it didn't affect our stay, apart from making sure we didn't brush against any walls on the way upstairs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The street outside can be a bit intimidating at certain times of the day, but no worse than similar streets in other global cities, or even in other areas of Paris. Keep your phone away and your wits about you, and you'll be fine.
