Holiday Inn Oceanside Camp Pendleton Area by IHG

We only stayed for one night. Room was clean and beds were amazing. The hall ways were hot and muggy. Besides that, everything was fine. We would stay there again.

Room was not as clean as it should have been. Also had a muggy sort of smell. Not as pleasant as the last time we stayed.

Staff was very friendly. Even let me check out 1 hour late with no charge. I also liked the in room a/c.

Room was very spacious & well appointed. Great location 10 min walk to the beach. Disappointing that the observation deck was not furnished; was looking forward to cocktails with a view.

We love this hotel, it’s very clean and has easy access to the beach. I think this is our 8th year of staying here!

All the rooms were wheelchair accessible and clean. I didn't like the shower because I am short. It would have been great if I were in a wheelchair but, for the average person it was uncomfortable. The hot tub was nice and so was the pool. The front desk was extremely helpful however we ran out of towels and the maid on third floor said there wasn't any towels because the washer was broke. She was very unprofessional and could not speak English.

The elevator and hallways were so unbelievably hot. Instant sweat and we are from Fresno! No room service and we are members. I called and they said no new towels so we used the same 3 towels for 4 days. I loved the observation deck. I used the fitness room once. Too hot and small. Loved the distance to the beach! The breakfast was mid for the price. We had a burrito and it was so small. Pancakes were great and so was the server! I appreciated the front desk giving us more k cups. The water was always empty and it was so needed as the hotel was so grossly hot! We stay there a lot so not sure if we will come back due to lack of service in rooms, heat and fitness room was so hot and no dinner. But rooms were great and so is the location and staff was friendly even if they wouldn’t give us fresh towels. :)

Upon arrival, the facility charged me $105 more than I was quoted on Expedia. They offered no resolution to this easy to fix issue. The thermostat in the room would only lower to 70°, in a $300+ per night room, AND kicked off overnight which necessitated waking up in discomfort to turn the system back on. These are easy amendments that this hotel offered zero to correct.

Unable to get clean towels, lost an entire day. The shower leaked really bad, so extra towels were needed for safety as well. Started asking at 10 am, none showed up till 4. No continental breakfast, like at all others.
