The villa met our expectations and more. The photos do not give this place justice. It was nice and quiet. Beautiful little resort. The beds were super uncomfortable. Definitely could use a softer mattress as they were quite hard. Description of property doesn't state the living space is all open. We found the only way to escape mozzies etc was by being in our rooms

I’ve stayed everywhere in Bali over 30+ years — budget hotels to resorts — but this is the first time I’ve landed home and immediately started dreaming of my return, purely because of this place. I arrived at 11:30pm, tired, expecting to just crash. Instead, I was met with a genuine smile and instantly felt the difference. Walking through reception, past the restaurant, to my room — it was obvious: when they built Kubu Garden Suites & Villas two years ago, no shortcuts were taken. Immaculate. Thoughtful. Boutique quality without the boutique price tag. Even at midnight I noticed the tropical gardens and gorgeous pool. But pulling back the curtains the next morning? Tranquil, perfectly kept gardens and a sparkling infinity pool right outside. I actually gasped. And the surprises kept coming. Breakfast wasn’t just huge and delicious — it arrived on top-quality crockery, plated like art. The chefs take time to make every dish beautiful. I’ve never seen food presented so well. I stayed 11 days and ate every single meal there, including inviting my Balinese families to join me. Why go anywhere else? The chefs are outstanding — and two of them graduate with university degrees this September. You can taste the skill and the pride. But the real magic is the staff. You can always feel when someone’s just doing a job for the money. Here? Every single person clearly loves what they do. They’re capable, happy, and genuinely want you to have the best experience possible. It’s effortless, warm, and real. Kubu Garden Suites & Villas is only two years old, but feels like it was built by people who’ve been caring for guests their whole lives. I’ll be back. The only thing I found missing was a handrail to get in and out of the swimming pool. This would be very helpful for those finding it a physical challenge. One of the owners told me that a handrail will be installed very soon

Number one the staff were amazing. We were always greeted with a smile and kindness. The pool was great, and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Air con was great. Great to have a fridge and a TV.

Once we upgraded to deluxe from standard it was the true 5 star experience. Nothing, all was well.

Everything was great. Nice room, bathroom, pool, breakfast was delicious. They charged me an extra % for paying with credit card.

The room was a good size, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast had great choices and delicious. Nice pool and quiet area. A bit too far to the beach to walk there. But not a deal breaker.

Such warm and welcoming staff, great location and fantastic on-site restaurant. The food was excellent, every meal was beautifully presented and the surroundings were just perfect for relaxing.

The staff were wonderful. The food and restaurant were perfect. My room was clean, fresh and very comfortable. The pool was large and crystal clear. And it is down a lane away from the noisy main road. I didn't realise that this area is actually Benoa - not Nusa Dua. The beach is a bit of a walk and the main road is horrible. But the hotel itself is a real oasis.

This property is literally a hidden gem. Like so good that I’m shocked it wasn’t full (we booked the day of). Stunning secret property in an unexpecting place. Beautiful decor. Accommodating staff (we got there early) and they provide to-go breakfast if you have to leave early. We will definitely be back. No real complaints. My only advice to the Hotel is that they need to do a better job advertising their food - ITS SO GOOD! You just wouldn’t know it because they’re aren’t any reviews/pictures. You must eat at the restaurant for lunch or dinner if staying. Thanks, Kubu Garden!

Authentic Bali experience.. peaceful, serene, well priced, great breakfast too (order style instead of buffet style breakfast keeps costs low) It's a fair bit of a distance from the main road, gojek and grab drivers find it hard to get there
