Briarcliff Motel

Overall it was an ok place to sleep and then get on with your vacation.

The door didn’t lock when it shut and the pool was green and we couldn’t swim in it

Basic motel. Beds were ok, sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean, lots of hot water. We stayed in the back it was very quiet. Reasonable price. There was a pool but we didn't use it. Spent 3 nights , room got cleaned and beds made everyday. Wifi was fast and free. Owners were onsite and working and pleasant. I would reccomend this place and would stay again.

The vibe is really off. There's a sign that threatens you with a $200 fine if you have a pet. This is the owners preogative,---if they don't want pets, fine. But it's so confusing to threaten a fine. I asked the woman. So, I could have a dog but I'd have to pay $200? She said, no, no dog. Then I said why have a fine? I asked her if I could have a dog for $500, she said dogs are dirty. She doesn't like dogs. She was rude, and mean. Like I said, it's their right, but mixed messaging big time. And a bad vibe. Maybe they should go into retail or something, because she was uncool. Would not stay again.

As soon as you walk in your welcomed, anything needed just ask, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and ac works great, highly recommended staying at this place

Good location, pool was nice, room was clean. The only problem I had was how the office papers were left open and accessible on the front desk. We're talking papers with credit card numbers, and personal information. Lock that stuff up or don't be collecting it!

Location and outdoor pool Internet is off and on inside the room.

Good location to the downtown area and not far from the excursion I went up to North Conway for. Kinda rundown. But I was clean and it served its purpose

Absolutely nothing...do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. Everything. There was an overall lack of cleanliness on the entire property. The room had a terrible smell and we found hairs all in the bedding (yes those kind of hairs). It was obvious the bedding hasn't been washed in quite some time. The "white" bedding was yellow/brown. It was absolutely disgusting. We had to wrap the pillows with towels and use our own blanket to cover the bed just so we could get a few hours of sleep before our Saco tubing trip. The furniture was dirty so we avoided touching anything. Checked out first thing in the morning and went to another hotel even though we were booked for 2 days. The man at the desk did absolutely nothing to apologize or try to make it right. Just stood there and said "okay". Zero people skills. Hoping to get some money back for the night we could not stay. Will absolutely NEVER go back to this property. The sad thing is I've stayed here before with previous owners and the property was clean and well maintained. Huge disappointment...

Rooms are in poor condition. I tried to use the room phone to call the office to inquiry about WIFI, and it wasn't plugged in to anything. The toilet has been painted, and the bowl was dirty or stained. The beds were very comfortable and clean.
