Wild Flower Homestay

The host family was very nice and helpful. They made me feel like family while I was there. Just a little far from a lot of the tourist activities. Nothing bad about the home.

The location is in a residential area, and not in walking distance to any restaurants or nightlife; this was a drawback for me, but it might not bother others. There is a Win Mart at the corner for essentials & snacks.

I really enjoyed staying with the family they where so kind and friendly and the evening meal was delicious. I highly recommend staying here.

Most wonderful homestay in Viet! Kind and considerate family, great meals, they lend you a bike and tell you everything you need to know about the area. Lovely cats and dogs onsite. Much more than a stay, its a special experience

I really enjoyed my stay and spending time with the family. I was the only guest for the one night I stayed and they cooked what I requested from their own farm. They fed me very well. The family is extremely nice. Quyen is a treasure. The grab car dropped me off at the wrong location and she picked me up on a motorbike.. She booked a bus for me and did everything to make sure I had a comfortable stay.

I couldn’t recommend a better stay in Ninh Binh! I know most tourists stay in Tam Coc, but I really do believe this is the better deal! It’s not walking distance to the main attractions, but you can easily borrow a motorbike/cycle bike to get there, or the family can call one for you. The room was cozy and comfortable, and located in a quiet but accessible neighbourhood, but the true highlight was the amazing family! You will not get an experience like this staying in a hostel, trust me. I stayed two nights but would’ve stayed longer if I could.

Our stay at Wild Flower Homestay with Uyen and her family was among the most memorable experiences we had in Vietnam. Some places list themselves as homestays but are really more of a family-owned hostel. Wild Flower is a homestay in every sense. We were treated as part of the family, sharing green tea with the four generations living together, friends and neighbours. We had dinner with the family on two of our three nights, expertly cooked by Uyen's mum. We are vegetarian, and veggie options were kindly provided for us. We tasted home-made rice wine and various Vietnamese dishes and treats. I had a bad cough when I arrived and Uyen made me delicious honey and ginger tea to soothe my throat. Our room was spotlessly clean; the bed was big and comfortable. Air con and a fan are provided. There's a balcony to enjoy the sun. Uyen has lots of suggestions for places to go - we decided to rent a scooter and drive to Cuc Phuong national park, around an hour away, which was beautiful. There is a small local supermarket at the end of the street where you can buy provisions if needed. We spent lots of time with the family, including Uyen's nephew who is nicknamed Dennis - he is hilarious and loads of fun. We were so sad to leave and if we manage to go back to Vietnam one day we will definitely stay here again. We were recieved from the gate and assisted to the family living room. Had Welcome drink, explained tours and the about our room. Uyen was helpful to get our unwanted dorm room cancelled (due to booking.com counting our 1 year old baby as adult). The homestay is ran by 4 generation together and 4 pets (2 dogs and 2 cats). We were told to be a part of the family. It was a perfect place to experience the day to day life of a Vietnamese Family. My baby girl also got her company, the families 3 year old nephew. No doubt the elder members were also giving her good time and care. The bulding itself was huge (people confuses it to be some community buliding) and the rooms were enough spacious. The bed were big and comfortable. The shower and the toilet were clean with hot water. Towels were provided and were clean. We were allowed to use the kitchen and groceries (what else do we need). Morning breakfast was also there. We wished we lived for another couple of days. My family will have the best memories of our stay at Wild Flower Homestay. God bless all the members of the family. This homestay is a really nice option if you want a local vibe, yet still well-communicated. It is situated in the centre of Ninh Binh, so it is very convenient to get to anywhere by motorbike like Trang An boat station, Mua Cave and also Tam Coc. The family of this homestay is also very attentive and welcoming. You will feel comfortable and relaxed while staying there :) -

Yuen and her family were extremely kind. My partner and I ended up staying for five nights. Our first night there, Uyen and her mom took us to their cousin's wedding and made us feel very at home the entire time we were there. We were very grateful to be able to spend time with them all on our trip.

The lovely young hostess who speaks English is a special person. Attentive, kind, soft spoken.. She helped me with so many things! I am very grateful to her and to her family for the attention, warmth and laughs we had together. A great and inexpensive experience. I am hoping to go back on this trip, time allowing ?

So comfortable and the hosts are absolutely wonderful. Uyen and her family really go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need, from a hot breakfast and optional family dinner to renting motorbikes or borrowing bicycles. The location is perfect as it's central to Ninh Binh and accessible by bus or train, and it's easy to access the sites by bike, motorbike or taxi. The food at every meal is so tasty and they cater for vegetarian, vegan and GF diets. I really can't recommend this homestay enough - more than just excellent value for money, it's an experience in itself.

This family was so lovely. They helped me to organize the activities and rent a motorbike. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was really clean. It was an amazing experience. They made me feel like at home. Thank you so much, and see you soon! ?

What I liked the most was the family hosting the homestay. Four generations under one roof, and everyone was very welcoming and warm, and made sure we had everything we needed. Felt right at home. Very peaceful atmosphere, after almost three months travelling we needed a laid back environment, with a family feel! Also having delicious family dinners, which also encouraged meeting fellow travellers. Thank you so much, Uyen, for being such a great host! Will miss all of you!

The kindest family ever. Accommodated us super well. When we arrived the taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong location and the brother came to pick us up. They provided a really cheap taxi driver and went above and beyond to help us. Breakfast was served at anytime so handy for late sleepers and family dinners were delicious. I decided to stay here because it seemed like an actual homestay instead of a commercialized bed and breakfast kind of homestay. I was not disappointed. I booked a bed in a dorm but got a private room instead because it was available. Oanh, the family's daughter, speaks English fluently and was very helpful from the start. I ate dinner with the family every evening. It costs 150k and is worth every Dong as you get to eat a variety of yummy local foods (and a lot of it). Even though not mentioned on booking.com, I also got free breakfast every morning. You will never have an empty tea cup and if you like, you'll also get to taste a variety of homemade happy water. What really made this stay so lovely and memorable though was the family itself. Since there are 4 generations living together, there is a lot of life in the house. The dogs are very cute as well, especially Tom and Bí Ngô (pumpkin). Everyone is hospitable and friendly and a good sense of humor runs in the family as well. I felt like home. After Ninh Binh, I went to Cat Ba and Hanoi only to return to this homestay for my last two nights in Vietnam because I had already missed it. When I returned, the private rooms were full because I had recommended the place to three Australians I met in Cat Ba and they decided to follow the recommendation. I had the dorm for my self and it was comfortable as well. I was also glad to stay in Ninh Binh instead of Tam Coc because I didn't like the touristy feel of Tam Coc but that is a question of preference. In any case you can rent a motorbike for 120k a day so you are mobile and can reach all the beautiful places in and around Ninh Binh easily. If I ever come back to Vietnam, I will definitely stay with this family again. You'll need a motorbike to get around. But that's the same for any location in Ninh Binh.

I cannot recommend staying here enough! I had one of my best experiences in Vietnam staying with this family, sharing meals, tea, and singing. I felt so welcomed by everyone and was lucky to have Uyen there who speaks fantastic English. They offer motorbikes as well. Best place in Ninh Binh!
