The view is incredible, the hotel room is very clean. The bed is huge and pretty comfortable. The best things for me were the view, having breakfast in bed and the freestanding bath! Would highly recommend the smashed avo :) On our last night (Monday 24th August) there was really loud music playing and other rooms were making a lot of noise (which isn’t the hotels fault but there was no one answering the phone when we were querying the music at 11:45pm) The decoration is a little strange but understand this is in theme with colonial. The doors leading to the rooms from outside (guessing is a fire door so has to be heavy) kept being slammed shut by guests and would rattle the room and wake you up most mornings sadly

Location, theme of room, balcony, view. The restaurant staff were all lovely. The reception person we met the second day was very good. Lack of gluten free menu and choices, floors in room weren’t overly clean (my feet were black from walking barefoot around the room!), room cleaning service failed to turn up at all one day, the systems at the restaurant and hotel are separate which means although you can put your food onto your room tab, when you pay you need to go in to the restaurant to pay rather than being able to pay at reception. Lack of information about how the hotel worked/ the room/ how to get the things you may need etc. Lack of communication when we emailed and asked if the breakfasts could cater for gluten intolerance which if you have this you will know can be very stressful. It turns out they did have the information but they hadn’t let us know that they had received it and understood and could account for it. One morning the kitchen staff were very loud - louder than the actual paying customers! Overall these are very minor things but could take you from hovering around an 8 to a 9.5.

Fantastic location and beautiful colonial themed rooms and restaurant. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nothing only if the sign to property was more visible as we passed it by.

Location was amazing Breakfast was superb - à la carte style menu. Delicious and generous portions, and great view of the sea whether inside or outside on the decking. All the staff were delightful and couldn’t be faulted Evening meal was also incredible and the kitchen very amenable to special requests Nothing! Only comment would be that the drive down the cliff is a little challenging (narrow and shared space with pedestrians) but that is to be expected with the hotel’s unique location
