InTown Suites Extended Stay Newport News VA - I-64

Place is infested with roaches and bed bugs. Paint peeling off wall, used condoms laying on the kitchen counter. Charges hidden fees like parking and wifi. Had to call police because people doing drugs in parking lot near our car. Staff very rude and do disrespectful. Not safe at this hotel

Sad sad sad place. Place is run like a correctional facility. Not safe for children. Bed sheets were filthy, we took sheets off, only to see bed bugs all over the beds. Roaches in the refrigerator. Property charges for On-Site parking and InRoom Wi-Fi. Website says free. Staff extremely rude. People in parking lot smoking weed. Reported this to front desk. Only to be told to mind our business. If you have to stop in this town, you may wanna think twice before checking into this hotel. It's not a safe place to be

Truly the worst motel in the United States. Not safe for little children. Charges hidden fees like on-site parking fees and in-room wifi service fees, even though the website clearly States free on-site parking and free wifi. Do yourself a favor stay away from this property. Rooms are infested with roaches and bed bugs, loud music in parking lot all night. Pictures on website are different from the property.

Unfortunately we didn't get to stay. Booked a room and when we arrived we were told that they didn't have any rooms available. The lady at the desk didn't really seem interested in trying to help me from the start.

The room was spacious.

Pictures on the website are not what the room looks like (noted in small print below photos that pictures are staged). So many rules (we even received notes on the door not to sit in lawn chairs in the parking lot, that's loitering). I asked housekeeping about exchanging towels and was told I could wash them in the family laundry room if I needed clean ones. We are older females, one recovering from surgery and I believe we know how to behave. It's a no smoking facility but the halls and elevator had a strong marijuana smell as did the parking lot. If I could have left without forfeiting money already paid I would have done so.

Friendly, helpful staff who were eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Great location to the 64 east and west highways. We weren't clear on their cleaning procedure. Towels weren't replaced. Kitchenette not equipped.

The only thing I liked about this property was the location. It was convenient and close to everything — grocery stores, Target, and several restaurants. Lyft rides were affordable, and I could easily walk to pick up essentials. Everything I needed was nearby, which made errands easy. I didn’t feel safe during my stay. There were often people outside who made the area feel uncomfortable and not very secure. The property did not feel clean, and there was a strong odor in the hallways that never went away. I also didn’t like that there was no one at the front desk 24 hours a day. On more than one occasion, someone knocked on my door saying they had to check something for “safety reasons,” which I found unsettling. At one point, an extermination visit took place during my stay, which made me question the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the building.

The staff was truly awesome! I was greeted with a warm welcome. They were accommodating when it came to my work schedule and housekeeping as well. I was able to see my room prior to checking in and it was very clean! I was skeptical when booking the room but it exceeded my expectations! The kids down the hall got a little loud but it didn’t impact my opinion of the hotel!

Staff kept trying to come into our room early in the morning when we were still in bed. Water leaking from ceiling above shower and signs of water damage.

It always smelled like marijuana inside and out. Even in the elevator. Rooms in kitchen didn’t have any pots/pans available for use.

Property is great, but will never book through booking.com again, the room i selected was only $440 after taxes booking charged me an addition $200 making the room $600, claimed to be a “great deal” on booking and in reality i was robbed by booking stating that room was $590 when i booked another week on site instead for a total of $430 after taxes and fees. Booking.Com is a scam. The elevator being broken was tragic but they got it fixed and I am pleased.
