    Very good

The room was truly lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the location of the hotel is excellent. Most of the staff we interacted with were kind and helpful, and overall the hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere. However, a few issues affected the experience. The Wi-Fi was poor, and there was an unpleasant situation with breakfast: although breakfast was included and my daughter arrived within the stated breakfast hours, she was not served. Some members of the breakfast staff came across as rude and unhelpful, and the communication regarding this issue felt inappropriate. The follow-up communication after the stay also took longer than expected, which made the resolution process feel less smooth than it should have been. That said, the hotel eventually apologized and resolved the breakfast issue, which we appreciate. Overall, the hotel has many strong points, especially the room, comfort, and location, but the breakfast service, Wi-Fi, and follow-up communication could be improved. All relevant points have already been mentioned above.

    Huge room, great service

Excellent hotel with staff that make you feel welcome. The decor and design in the hotel felt like a time capsule of a New York that is increasingly rare to find. Amenities were up to date, and rooms were well maintained. I recommend getting the breakfast included with your stay. The food was excellent, and the service by the waiters was as well. We will certainly be returning.

Booked a king studio, very large and spacious, a bit rare in NYC, comfortable bed, overall very comfortable. Very central location, just off of Times Square, but not too noisy. Decent gym. A couple of the breakfast staff were very friendly, others could be a bit indifferent. The room and decor are definitely showing their age, not much effort in updating or upgrading.

This hotel is located perfectly. We were able to walk to everything, and there is a subway stop less than a block away if you want to go further away. I also love having such a large room in NYC. We had room to stretch out and relax while still being close to everything. The staff were also wonderful and we felt right at home. The hotel is a little dated, but I appreciate the feel of an older hotel.

The location is excellent, the rooms are very spacious A bit dated room and not even a coffee machine in a room that they called suite...

    Amazing old school nyc

The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. The staff here were far from friendly; this hotel truly lacks soul.

Nice and all the other positive adjectives to make it 25 characters

Location to shows was good. Yet the outdoor neighborhood area/mid town is very dirty and very crowded . The room was badly in need of upgrade. Carpet was way beyond need for replacement, sink faucet was broken/woobly, fridge did not close properly. There was no microwave or coffee in a king suite. The king bed mattress was lumpy. The mini bar had cheap Washington state wine(chateau at Michelle)… like why not east coast wine or Italian since you are called the michealangelo?!

Everything in this hotel was good staff, room and location Only one thing I didn't like is one unprofessional receptionist/ manager , who doesn't know his job well and he doesn't belong to the amazing staff there

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

I found a hotel that remained out of shape and pretended to be proper. Not a good experience.

The property was clean and big. We took the 46sqm. The bed was very comfortable. They still have the old passion card reader. I have no idea what my pin code was on my credit card because I only tap when I pay. I end up paying cash for the deposit, which normally they don't accept, but they made an exception, which is $500. I asked if I can pay in Swiss Francs because I don't want to exchange any more $ but he said they only accept $. Which is not good. I am from Europe and when you book a hotel in Europe, they don't ask you for a deposit. Anyways, long story short, it was all good. I end up having $500 at the end of our stay. Everything was good. I love rhe staff and the hotel. Just the card reader was old.
