Staff was kind and extremely friendly. Was able to check in a bit early. Housekeeping was very attentive and checked in if anything was needed. Truly nice hotel in a great area in Manhattan. Felt like home and truly recommend to all looking for an affordable place to stay in NY!

We loved the room being available on the first floor. We will be back again for our first floor 2 beds/kitchen & private bathroom. Also love that the hotel is centrally located between lower Manhattan & Central Park. Only downside is didn’t have wash clothes but we used disposable dish wipes & we’ve never heard of a stories building with no elevator. Looking forward to returning.

However, I would not recommend this place for light sleepers. We could hear kids crying, people walking, and furniture being moved throughout the night. I also did not feel completely safe during our stay. The door showed signs of a possible previous break-in, with the metal door frame bent as if someone had used a crowbar, and one piece of the chain lock was missing. The management may want to have the door and locks inspected for guests’ safety.

Decent neighborhood, clean enough in the hotel, air conditioner worked fine. The bathroom was actually quite nice, great shower! If you're looking for a place to sleep at night after tromping around the city all day that doesn't break the bank - THIS IS IT! If you want more than that out of your hotel room in NYC you'll need to go elsewhere and spend more money. The staff was great, not very present, but also not in the way- and happy to help. The small refrigerator was constantly dripping with condensation - which was a drag. Overall the perfect place for us :-) I recommend it if you want a deal, can handle an older style room and will spend most of your time out and about.
