Very unique stay, staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. Leroy was amazing, gave us a little history about the property and the hauntings. Needs a little update, a/c could’ve been colder, but all in all this place has character. Will definitely stay here again.

The building is olc but full of character and it's minutes from all the shops you'll want to che k out. Very very quiet too.

The AC worked in the rooms, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful over all. The ice machine worked (and with how hot it was that was very important to us), shower/bathtub was nice but due to the heat the water never got cold when on the cold setting. The bed we had sank in towards the center of the bed so that took a night to get used to but thankfully did not hurt our backs. I would reccomend bringing a fan with you in the hot months as not all the rooms have fans in them and the stanget air in the summer time can leave you damp when sleeping. It's in the perfect location for easy access to everything you will need in the quarter and will defiantly stay again if the opportunity comes up.

The property is perfect walking distance to everything in the French Quarter, they have valet but the cheapest way to park is in a lot outside the quarter but they have a space to park to drop off/pick up your luggage which makes it easy. The only problem was we didn't see a ghost!

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Loved it didn't see a ghost but a cat jumped out of nowhere when I was smoking in the courtyard around midnight

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Staff wasn’t always available except through text sent upon booking. Multiple upper rooms were above 80 degrees due to the heat index and AC couldn’t keep up. Had to move rooms, but staff was very accommodating. Very cool place, very clean.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The location was nice It wasn’t very clean. There was no coffee maker or microwave. It’s really old and needs maintenance and a good cleaning

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The hotel was fine. The room code didn't work and it took awhile for someone fro a sister hotel to arruve and open it with a key. It was a problem, but not formidable. Unable to locate an ice dispenser.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The hotels location is great. The bed is not very comfortable. The A/C is sub par and did not cool the room enough, maintenance said it was cooling. The rooms are very small with an awkward layout. The furniture used does fit the room. There are no amenities at this hotel so that got 1 star because I can’t put 0. I wouldn’t stay here again.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

I 100% recommend staying at this hotel!

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Parking is off site. Staff (Leroy) was good. Hotel was ok. They do run ghost tours though at night.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Hotel temp was not able to go below 82 degrees. No people onsite. Difficult check in.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

It was a good stay overall, the extra daily charge for parking is a rip off, great location though, the guy at the desk was very helpful, only complaint would have is that it took over 30 minutes for valet to get my car to me.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Convenient location, but room was cramped and couldn't get TV to work.

We booked this hotel through Expedia and specifically paid for parking as part of our reservation. When it was time to check out, the staff attempted to charge us for parking again. After explaining that parking had already been paid for, they still made the process unnecessarily difficult. The hotel also advertised itself as pet-friendly, yet at checkout we were told we had to pay additional pet fees that were never clearly disclosed during booking. One of the biggest frustrations was the valet service. The hotel advertises valet parking, but when we asked for our vehicle, the front desk employee simply told us to go get the car ourselves instead of having the valet retrieve it. That completely defeats the purpose of paying for valet parking. The hotel itself smelled musty and humid throughout our stay, making it feel poorly maintained. We were never informed about any amenities during check-in, yet we were charged amenity fees anyway. The customer service was by far the worst part of the experience. The staff were rude, unwelcoming, and seemed more interested in finding additional charges than helping guests. There was no effort to resolve our concerns or provide a positive experience. Overall, this stay felt like a series of hidden charges, poor communication, and terrible customer service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an honest, welcoming, or enjoyable place to stay.

Water in shower wasn’t very warm. Staff was supposed to fix it but didn’t. Other than that it was ok.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Bathroom is very small. Shower water was scalding hot regardless of what we tried. No storage since the room was so small. Parking offiste wound up being an issue, but that's not really their problem.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

That we were on a time limit and couldn't stay longer

The manager, LeRoy, was the most amazing blessing… He took care of everything we needed. LeRoy was so attentive to my daughter’s questions about the history of the hotel and allowed her to walk around to view different rooms to get to know the architecture and history of each room. Leroy upgraded us to a balcony room since we came out of season and there weren’t very many visitors at the time. We were able to throw beads at night. It was the first time my daughter and I have ever had a balcony. It was just an amazing time and I can’t say enough about how gracious Leroy was. The cleaning staff was very tentative and anytime we crossed paths they constantly asked if we needed anything if they wanted our room clean and kept advising us if there was anything we needed or wanted to let them know and they would handle it. Simply amazing trip. Thanks LeRoy and crew of the Andrew Jackson Hotel for making our stay amazing. We couldn’t stay longer , lol No negatives about the property

I loved the location. It was close to everything place I wanted to visit. Everything was in walking distance. Starting off, my room was okay. There were just a ton of gnats and mosquitoes that I was swatting at the whole time. My room was also located right by the entrance to the courtyard that stays open 24/7. So all through out the night, I could hear every person going in and out. If you stay here and that would bother you, avoid room 103. Lastly, I drove to Nola, so I needed a place to park my car. They offer valet parking and that was nice. However, when the staff took my car to their enclosed parking lot (only employees have access to) they damaged my vehicle. I had a front license plate on my car before I left, and when it was returned to me, it was off. Forcibly taken off. And unfortunately, they make you sign a waiver that states “you park at your own risk” so the hotel managers refused to take responsibility for this issue. Parking is also REALLY expensive with them. So that’s another thing to consider. If you’re flying in and need a more inexpensive place to stay, I would say go with this place. Don’t park with them. They will not take proper care of your vehicle and they surely won’t pay for any damages or offer compensation for any wrong they do. And you may want to consider bringing bug spray to avoid being eaten alive by misquotes. Maybe a fly swatter too.
